Cips getting prem player of the month is a joke in itself though really.
But those 3 passes really were things of beautyTigersman wrote:Cips getting prem player of the month is a joke in itself though really.

Question answered.Scrumhead wrote:Yeah - I’m thinking along similar lines. Kvesic played at 8 quite a bit in the A league last season.Mikey Brown wrote:They're lucky Ewers is back at least and Armand can shift over to 8 but you're right, he's just not the same sort of player. It will be interesting to see if Kvesic is asked to take on any of those things that Simmonds did so well.
Even when Andy Goode can chase him down? And as of today, not just the svelte former playing versionMellsblue wrote:This.Tigersman wrote:Cips getting prem player of the month is a joke in itself though really.
Should’ve been Booj, obvs.

Indeed. It’s a strange back row set up they have at Chiefs. Most other coaches would have a more obvious deployment of 6. Armand 7. Kvesic 8. Ewers. With Simmonds’ carrying ability and explosiveness, it makes sense to give the opportunity to attack off the base of the scrum but Kvesic doesn’t have that and I wonder if playing him at 8 doesn’t get the best out of him as it means he’ll be slower to the breakdown/slower in support of the attack? I guess it only really matters off first phase ball.Mellsblue wrote:Question answered.Scrumhead wrote:Yeah - I’m thinking along similar lines. Definitely. He looks fitter than he has done in ages.Tigersman wrote:Just throwing it out here but does anyone think Tigers might have man managed Manu a bit with the whole Injury so he misses England camp and resting him a week?
Whilst not that involved he was certainly physical when he had his chances in defence (Especially around the ruck) and his odd couple of carries.
Good news for England if so.Tigersman wrote:Smurph saying May is out 3-4 weeks. Which in Leicester speak means his is out for the season......

Depends on the details.Mellsblue wrote:Dislocated knee. WT?fivepointer wrote:I saw a comment about Yarde's knee injury being season ending. Here's hoping he and the other players recover well.
It’s his right kneeWhich Tyler wrote:Depends on the details.Mellsblue wrote:Dislocated knee. WT?fivepointer wrote:I saw a comment about Yarde's knee injury being season ending. Here's hoping he and the other players recover well.
Okay, makes all the difference, somewhere around 5-50 weeks in the case.Mellsblue wrote:It’s his right kneeWhich Tyler wrote:Depends on the details.Mellsblue wrote: Dislocated knee. WT?
Ah, ****. Turns out it was his left.Which Tyler wrote:Okay, makes all the difference, somewhere around 5-50 weeks in the case.Mellsblue wrote:It’s his right kneeWhich Tyler wrote: Depends on the details.
Lucky it wasn't the left
I know a few NFL athletes have dislocated their knees and never played again. Tends to be as a minimum that both ACL and PCL are ruptured, along with significant cartilage tears. My understanding is that the nature of the injury can also lead to nerve and artery damage - and if that’s the case he’s pretty much done as a rugby player.Mellsblue wrote:Dislocated knee. What actually happened to him? I missed it on the highlights and have no desire to go back to watch it.Timbo wrote:Honestly, having just had a look at Yarde’s injury and his leg....would be happy if I ever see him get back on to a rugby pitch. Horrendous.
Modern medicine and rehab is amazing, I really hope he can make it back.
Not a good week for injuries with Simmonds and Hill also on the long-term injury list.Timbo wrote:Dan Robson done his ankle/achilles today, Jonny May’s arm/shoulder not looking great and Marland Yarde has completely destroyed his knee in a pretty horrendous way.
Yarde’s injury rumoured to be pretty terrible.
