A reset in Venezuela sounds good if driven from within Venezuela, this is both weird and worrying

For all the talk about other countries interfering elsewhere, and that the US should not bother with the ME...Trump and his cronies are massively full of shit.

Trump, Bolton, and Pompeo have a single barely functional neuron between the three of them. The US just needs to shut the fuck up.

"“The regime of former president Nicolás Maduro is illegitimate,” he said.

“His regime is morally bankrupt, it’s economically incompetent, and it is profoundly corrupt, and it is undemocratic to the core.”

Have a look in the fuckin mirror.

The regime in Venezuela is pretty much illegitimate, whether that makes it the business of outside actors to step in is another thing entirely, where does that end even if we allow there's only interest in countries with oil?

And just outstanding updates from Team Trump on the partial federal shutdown, from the commerce secretary expressing surprise going without a paycheck was an issue and wondering why fed staff would even need to use food banks, to the idiot saying this was basically like getting a free vacation, to Trump himself defending Wilbur Ross suggesting banks and grocery stores know the people they're dealing with and essentially they'll just extend credit until this all blows over

One of the originators of disinformation, backstabbing, bullying, and getting ahead by being a tremendous cunt in politics, Roger Stone, was arrested in a pre dawn raid today in connection with the Mueller probe.

Please, please let this be the start of these privileged despicable human beings getting some of what has been coming to them for decades.

How long before Trump:

1 - Calls it a witch hunt
2 - Says there has been no collusion
3 - Defends Stone by saying he's a great man
4 - Says Stone has not done anything wrong
5 - Says that whatever Stone has done is not a crime anyway
6 - Says he'll pardon Stone
7 - Denies knowing Stone
8 - Questions Stone's character
9 - Says any co-operation Stone gives to the police is to shorten his sentence
10 - Mentions the wall
11 - Tweets make America great again in caps and with half a dozen exclamation marks

?

FAA have shutdown La Guardia citing a shortage of air traffic controllers

So do they again increase the number forced to work without pay or is this as far as Mitch can let this go?

Can't the FAA just take a bank loan out and employ some new staff?

Kinda funny that today is the day that Trump announces a deal to re-open the government whilst talks continue.

Wondered what prompted that?

Ha, nice. I tend to think a major airport closing was the straw that paralysed the camel.

Actually just looking at the airports this was incredibly dangerous telling air traffic controllers to take 2nd jobs to earn some cash and then rock up to work sleep deprived

After another undocumented meeting with Putin in the Colon we find President Fat Bastard has been set straight on the facts and is now publicly disagreeing in huge terms with his own intelligence chiefs, well I say undocumented but Melanie was there, and just to be clear those are the intelligence chiefs of various US agencies and not that Don deals in intelligence

If nothing else it serves as a stark reminder of just how far removed he is from functioning government. Undermine your own foreign policy with an immature misspelled school yard insult ejaculated onto social media. Nice work.

Was/is god a space zombie? Just to be coherent about it all wasn't that his son ignoring that's merely two thirds of the same which is split three ways?
