I think Saints have a lot of quality coming through from the academy in the back 5 of their scrum. A few very big bodies included. I’m sure they’d prefer to keep Moon, but understandable not to push the boat out, especially if it means they can keep Lawes.

Only Zach Mercer has complained about the setup. Other players that have made training squads and not selection have talked positively about the work ons provided by Borthwick and his team., Murley and Fin Smith included.
Yep, the only feedback I've had from people who have actually been to squad sessions has been positive- challenging, but positive.

Tom Lockett will soon be making his way into the first team I think - same height as Moon. Not as much weight behind him at the moment, but he is 6 years younger. He's had a few first team run outs in the prem and Europe this season.

And, crucially, impressed/continues to impress at the Finishing School.

Ojomoh extends with Bath. Good business that, for both sides.

The high street can get a bit loose on a Fri night, granted, but this is harsh.

Owen asked me, ‘What do you see in my game that I can improve?’ There are lots of things I see that I think I’d like to work on him with

No shit Burt.
I’m just amazed Farrell needed to ask

If Borthwick, in the next two years, cannot get Smith and/or Smith up to a level that Farrell cannot reach then there is no hope.

The Smith / Smith will be a thing of the past once the Atkinson roadshow blasts into town

You're thinking too small. Smith/Atkinson/Atkinson/Smith is the way forward.

Now I see it written down my limited vision becomes glaringly obvious.

What a thing that would be should it ever come that 2 start whilst the other 2 are on the bench.

Oh no, you misunderstand - that's our three-quarter line for 2027.

Farrell is the fly-half, of course.

Sheedy being linked with Cardiff for next season. I think McGinty has one more season after this on his contract though he is about to turn 34 so might not be seen as an every week option.

Could make the flyhalf recruitment quite interesting this off season with a couple of Prem big spenders wanting 10s.

Courtney Lawes is said to have agreed to sign for ProD2 club Brive next season, although he's not yet put pen to paper.
Brive, former European champions were relegated to ProD2 last season and haven't found life easy but are currently 6th and an immediate return to the Top14 seems unlikely.
Ex Scotland centre Sam Johnson and Welsh back row Ross Moriarty play for Brive.

Now confirmed.

Guess it means Bristol are looking for a 10, AJ is 34 and can't be relied on, and the academy 10 (Worsley) hasn't had any senior side time...

Sarries did win multiple titles and European cups with Farrell…
