When these pesky women's reproductive rights are done away with, state by state, we can focus on funding for conversion therapy, segregated public transport and good old south of the Mason Dixon style Sharia law.
At times like this you realise how much work advocacy groups really do for civil rights.

Re: Trump
Awkward moments recently where Disney and Netflix made big, publicity-friendly announcements that they won't do business in Georgia if these laws are enforced - nice low-margin publicity stunt to gain cred with liberals while not requiring them to do anything as the law's unlikely to actually come to fruition.morepork wrote:When these pesky women's reproductive rights are done away with, state by state, we can focus on funding for conversion therapy, segregated public transport and good old south of the Mason Dixon style Sharia law.

Spoiled a bit when a Northern Ireland pro-choice pressure group pointed out they've been fine doing business in NI for years despite their abortion laws being much more onerous.

Disney has balls. Big cartoon ones. Might I suggest the imposition of trade tariffs on Georgian goods and services (consanguineous social media, unused opioids?) or perhaps the erection of some sort of wall around Disneyland?

Sure, because the last time Georgia tried to pull this kind of stunt, they got their shit ruined by companies doing exactly what Disney and Netflix threatened to do.Puja wrote:Awkward moments recently where Disney and Netflix made big, publicity-friendly announcements that they won't do business in Georgia if these laws are enforced - nice low-margin publicity stunt to gain cred with liberals while not requiring them to do anything as the law's unlikely to actually come to fruition.morepork wrote:When these pesky women's reproductive rights are done away with, state by state, we can focus on funding for conversion therapy, segregated public transport and good old south of the Mason Dixon style Sharia law.

Disney and Netflix have threatened to pull their business from Georgia, not just because it's a low-effort way to gain cred, but because that shit has proven to work with that backwards-ass fuckwit state.

Either he thinks LGBT a word and that's the one he randomly chose to capitalise or there's the off chance Mike Pence wrote that for him. It's not going to gain much coverage with another mass shooting anyway providing he stays true to the creed that guns don't hurt peoplemorepork wrote:Wow.

Wait, didn't he kick the T in LGBT out of the military? Do T have very short memory? How about L, G and B?
I guess this is the equivalent of saying "I am not a racist, I have one black friend".

He bought back Christmas!
Wait. Fuck. not that.
Speaking of racists, check out Jared Kushner being interviewed about Birtherism and nasty Palestinians. Dear God, what an intellectual collosus. You can almost smell his motherboard melting. His Mid East masterplan appears predicated on assumed investment opportunities in Israeli occupied territories. I think Duarte would be able to present a more nuanced view of the issue, if you gave him 5 minutes to mull it over first.

So where’s Phil the Greek during all these festivities for Trump’s visit? Locked in his bedroom probably to keep him from opening his trap!

My wife and I were having the same conversation last night. A diplomatically induced headache perhaps? I think a Phillipand Trump conversation could be pretty epic.francoisfou wrote:So where’s Phil the Greek during all these festivities for Trump’s visit? Re: Trump
What is the fucking point of interviewing this Dumkopf?
After a bong and a sesh with Prince Charles on Climate change, the world's most tremendously sage empty vessel had this to say:
“I did say, ‘Well, the United States right now has among the cleanest climates there are based on all statistics.’ And it’s even getting better because I agree with that we want the best water, the cleanest water. It’s crystal clean, has to be crystal clean clear.”
“China, India, Russia, many other nations, they have not very good air, not very good water, and the sense of pollution. If you go to certain cities … you can’t even breathe, and now that air is going up … They don’t do the responsibility.”
1. Each continent, nay, country has it's own climates, so global patterns are just no. Statistics say so. Just ask the water
2. Whatever else you do, you must do the responsibility. The most responsibility you can imagine, from the perspective of response.
What a statesman.

I am not. Ive lived here all my looooong life and can honestly say it isnt even a blip on my embarrassment radar. The state I live in is the embarrassment. Ive seen the great state of Californ-I-A go down the crapper and its been circling the drain for the last decade. Btw, a wall around Disneyland would be great. Hell... a wall around the entire Los Angeles area is something I could definitely get on board with.morepork wrote:This cunt just keeps on giving. Coco...sweet jesus this is a clown show. There is elitist, there is uninformed, and then there is the immediate family of the terminally unaware trying desperately to pot ray elite, all in the name of a medieval wall peppered by legitimate ports of entry. I used to think Berlusconi the most comical head of state in contemporary history, but the armory being given to Orange Jesus gives him the edge in the fuckwit scale of leadership. I'm embarrassed by way of my citizenship (yes, I am one of you now), Are you not?

Don't you feel it would be better to deal with the problems with an actual plan? Rather than just blaming people... (Trump and his administration, that is).Coco wrote:I am not. Re: Trump
The 5th largest economy in the world is more of an embarrassment than a semi literate head of state devoid of knowledge pertinent to his job and of the vocabulary required to articulate even the most rudimentary of cogent responses to pretty much any question on any topic. Not many people can make the royal family look down to earth, but that waddling cartoon of a man, with his comical thrust out jaw, scowly hard man face and feckless idiot children playing out some tacky nouveau riche fantasy pageant seem to have pulled it off. If that is the trade off for your conservative-religious-family values-first idea of Utopia, then it can fuck right off. We all know the fat man did not a skerrick of work on that trip, and it was manifestly a special needs family outing for a group of entitled, classless, pig ignorant parasites. What a situation to be proud of.
