I hope this doesn’t feel like an attack. I’m genuinely curious.
I was speaking of how he is doing as The President of the United States. His baffoonery, and twitter antics dont concern me much... i think he likes to troll sometimes and get people going. If there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he raped a child he should be locked up and butt raped for the rest of his days.Mikey Brown wrote:Would him having raped a 13 year old girl make any difference or is it all just noise at this point?
I'm just trying to imagine what it will take.
Doesn't his behavior influence his position when it comes to, say, international agreements?Coco wrote:I was speaking of how he is doing as The President of the United States. His twitter antics resulted in a real time conflict with with his own DOJ lawyers argument for a court ruling on the census citizenship question issue. How could the Twitter antics possibly be of no concern? The same antics precipitated a military standoff with Iran. If a Buffon communicates on a platform that has consequences for domestic and geopolitical clarity, how is being a buffoon not of concern?Coco wrote:I was speaking of how he is doing as The President of the United States. And not really in a positive way...
Has he actually made any positive impact for you?
I dont care about his twitter antics or his baffoonery... those are peripheral things I choose not to get too uptight about. My choice of course. If somebody wants to make those thing out to be the basis of their opinion of him they are free to. He did not get elected because he was a straight laced, say what everyone wants to hear or thinks is appropriate kinda guy.morepork wrote:His twitter antics resulted in a real time conflict with with his own DOJ lawyers argument for a court ruling on the census citizenship question issue. Sorry, I wasnt trying to get in to a debate. I am in the real estate, development sector. In a nutshell, he loosened up a few things in my state (and others) like environmental constraints for instance, that were making it extremely hard for any small business like mine to get any work. The only companys that could afford to change out all their heavy equipment to meet the standards were huge national corporations... not the small local businesses trying to compete with them. After 8 or so years of the construction recession, it was truly a welcome change to be able to get back to work in California.Stom wrote:Was kinda looking for a how thereCoco wrote:YesStom wrote:

Would be interested to here how Trump has positively impacted your life since gaining power.

I have definitely come to believe more progressive politicians do forget what seem like minor details do cause hardship for "the little man", something people like Trump and Farage have used to great effect.Mikey Brown wrote:I’m torn. That’s both understandable and quite profoundly depressing.
That was giving help. If you mean monetary help, where would that money come from esp in a recession?Stom wrote:Thanks.Coco wrote:Sorry, I wasnt trying to get in to a debate. Wouldn't it have made more sense to give help to small businesses to reach environmental targets, though?
By, for instance, buying the old machinery and giving grants to help the small companies buy the new machinery?
Otherwise you're kinda just solving one problem to worsen another...
Not giving tax breaks to people who don't need it? The largest military budget in the world? Fines levied to large corps for breaking the environmental targets?Coco wrote:That was giving help.
