True, Scott didn't seem switched on last week. Very uncharacteristic for him as his end of season form was good for the Scarlets.
Jamie does what he does, just feel he's starting to look a little jaded & one paced.
We desperately need options at centre, after Roberts, Williams & Davies. Tyler Morgan has regressed hugely since he 1st came through, mainly because of injury.

A real shame, the boy was looking the business when he first came on the scene. Jamie Roberts is slower than most backrowers these days.
We need a few young guys to come through at the regions in the next couple of seasons. Hopefully Owen Watkin can get over his injury for this season, he looked quality. Keiron Williams with the U20's in the last 6Nations looks good too.
Shame both are with the Osprey's along with Thornton & Beard at lock. Great for the region but not so good with regards player development.

Yep..it is the problem but I it is unlikely that AWJ will probably not make the next WC or will Chats...so we need them coming through quickly. Bears dies remind me of Charteris all arms and legs and to quote the great Bill Mclaren runs like giraffe but not as quick.
Maybe this idea is not viable.. but this is where maybe THE Dragons could be a channel for this sort of situations...but I nay ken how to make it work

That's only true if he played against another nation who don't have an official A team isn't it? E.g. if he'd played against England U20s he'd still be free to jump ship, but if he played against France U20 (IIRC) then he'd be tied.
Yep, that's right Tim, he's played against Scotland who don't have an A team anymore I don't think.
Furry muff.
If he doesn't get a full cap soon I'm going to do a dirty protest in Llandarcy.
Not sure anyone would notice the difference.

Id like to see this tried out in the AIs
Australia:
L Williams, S Evans, JD2, S Williams, North , Biggar, Webb
Evans, Owens, Lee, Ball, AWJ, Warburton, Tipuric, Faletau
Dacey, Jenkins, Francis, B Davies, Moriaty G Davies, Anscombe, R Williams
Georgia:
R Williams, Giles, JD2, O WIlliams, North, Anscombe, T Williams
Smith, Dacey, Lewis, S Davies, Hill, Moriaty, Jenkins, Griffiths
Elias, W Jones, Francis, Beard, Young, G Davies, S Davies, Patchell
If Watkin gets game time next season would like to see him invovlved somewhere, also Cubby but with Warburton, Tipuric, Jenkins ,Young and Griffiths the cover there is huge.
NZ:
Mostly the Australian selection I guess.

You have Anscombe > Davies
I'm not sure but each to his own, I am glad to see that you have him at 10 which is his best position imo.
I see Georgia have a very talented 9 coming through the ranks (currently U20) definitely one for the future, they should be in the 6 nations instead of Italy it's farcical.
Anyway here's the try:

Great try.
Start of season Davies>Anscombe, tail end I think Anscombe edged it
I also forgot Beck in my team selections...hmmm

I think form wise you are right, I think Davies has greater potential tho so would be inclined to develop him as much as possible.

Whilst I like a lot of the team ..I have real reservations about Owen Williams....I hope they are unfounded but watching playing for the Tigers he was often hmmm.
I like Beck as an option but he didnt make the selection for the recent sqaud.

Wasn't that due to the need to fully recover from injury?

In an ideal world Id have Patchell at 12...for me he has the same potential as Henson, could be a great 15/10 converted to 12.
However, that isnt going to happen, so as a "ball playing" 12 Id like to see Williams playing the Farrell role outside a Davies/Anscomber playing the FOrd role.
Just to see what it looks like.

You have to wonder why the Scarlets let him go and retained Aled Thomas, tho I think he is a better player than Aled Thomas, then again I think most people are a better rugby player than Aled Thomas.

I fear that Beck is turning into one of those "never-never" players. Too many injuries to ever keep him in the coaches' minds for long enough. I'm not convinced he's the answer for Wales at centre, but it's frustrating seeing him unable to even try.

Someone said that here but I haven't seen it anywhere else. For all I know it could be for the same reason James Davies and Olly Cracknell didn't make the tour, ie no reason at all.

Yep no reason at all is the best explanation Beck may join a group of players who are the mystery men never selected who upset Stan and end up on the naughty boys list. The injury thing may be right for this tour but if he is injurrd often and that is the concern how did Cory Allen make it because he has been injured and no form and he gets selected and plays.
I agree with Numbers about not really understanding why O Williams was let go by the Scarlets ...maybe it was that he wanted more opportunities to develop..who knows.
Henson was a one off..in many many ways particularly his defence was pretty darn solid I like Patchell and yes it could work but I just don't think it will happen unless Patchell makes it happen. ..I would like Williams to give that option as well but at present I have not seen what he offers make me go yeah he is the real deal he looked poor against RGC and not much against Tonga and his defence for the Tigers often looked hmmm.
I really like that Wales are looking at it this way..and hope that my concerns are over cautious ...but . today ...I am still not convinced.
