Basically they did it when tigers played Wasps aswell.
And still got the Malouf call wrong
that's what i don't get though is how they change somethings yet not others despite it being obvious on the replay.

Alot of saints fans seem to be forgetting the last couple of months now.

Funny how one game can change a whole mentality on it's head.

I don't think any Saints fans are forgetting this season, or the one before, or before...

Just enjoying a victory over our closest rivals, a double that we haven't managed since 2004, and a performance with pride, physicality and passion we haven't seen for a long time.

i don't know i'm looking at the saints message board and they are all apologising to saints for doubting them etc.

Don't get me wrong it was a hell of a performance and stuff but doesn't it annoy you how they can't seem to replicate it v other teams at all?
Or how Paul Hill (My hero) hasn't played a game since jan despite him clearly being the best TH at saints? Why has it taken Saints so long to realise that?

and is this the saints team that will carry on or will they just revert to pre-tigers play?

All of those things do massively frustrate me, and I am not expecting the form to permanently stay up over the next 160 minutes of the season. Hope for next season though, I have a feeling Boyd is more likely to see the benefit of players like Hill and Ludlam.

Personally from an England POV I would love to see Collins, Hill and Ludlam start.
Worryingly for me Saints have been linked to another TH prop, Haskell and another winger.

Haskell and Wood at Saints. The Chronicle and Echo need to beef up their sports team.

I have no idea how we've contrived to lose that one. Kept looking at the scoreboard after we'd been attacking constantly and being startled that we were behind. Great work in defence by Northampton, but we left about 4 tries out there through poor handling and decisions and probably 4-5 great positions lost through our lineout and maul deciding today was the day to shit the bed.

Great victory and performance by Saints though. Congratulations.

What is your opinion of Ford currently? I've been convinced he's lost it over the last season plus, so I accept that I am biased.

Other than a couple of nice passes putting people through gaps, I thought he was quite poor yesterday

He was Ok, which is where he's been for most of the season. Nothing that really stood out, either good or bad.
I sense he's playing within himself a bit.

Did you catch that comment (was it on commentary or did I read it) that Eddie is looking to players to turn it on for their clubs if they expect to stay in his squad. Despite everything, I rate Ford's ability. There is something missing in his make-up, though. You say, 'playing within himself'. Really, that means under-performing by his own top standards. He'll only have himself to blame if Eddie loses patience with him.

I don't see any reasonable excuse at Leicester in terms of ball from forwards/SH nor from the centres outside him.

Ford's been generally poor this season, which I attribute to a lack of confidence and playing behind some truly atrocious packs up until the last few weeks. He is very much a confidence player - get him on a roll and there's few better, but he's clearly struggling a bit right now. Mind, I thought he showed flashes of his best yesterday, so hopefully being given decent ball of late is starting to shake him out of his malaise.

Yeah he hasn't been on top form but can still make things happen.

Also can take a 2 seasons for a 10 to properly gel with a club IMO.

IMO either TMO is something that is asked for by the ref or we just have the TMO ref the game with a guy in the middle giving the instructions.
I think we need to go back to what it was initially; the TMO is only there when called upon directly by the ref. The rest if the time he keeps schtum. None of this passive aggressive "are you sure? Let me show you another angle..." bollocks
