I dont remember the last time I saw Scotland win in the 6N live. This time if we lose at least there's a consolation that we wont give england the title

Btw...I'm going to the game....
Are you sure you want to do that? What can we say to convince you otherwise? I'm sure we can find a nice sofa to hide behind with a ready supply of beer (any volunteers in Edinburgh for the greater good)?
It has to happen sometime, right?

We're going to batter them.

We're going to replicate the great maul of '06. Lamont to come off the bench and join the maul and score as he did 10 years ago.

I haven't looked up his strike rate v France but it may possibly even resemble that of an international class winger. There'd be a thing.

I've said it before but I'd love to have a Lamont from 10 years back playing in this side.

French side has a rather intimidating look about it.
It would be a comfort to think that Scotland might get through a whole game without any major cock-ups gifting points to France.
Not very comfortable at the moment..

Has Barclay ever sung the anthem?

France by 15 after pulling away in the second half. No impact from the bench and two major cock-ups costing tries.

Finn Russell looks battered, I'd imagine he is going off. Thank goodness we have good bench cover... All too easy for the french.

Yup. Peter Horne at 10 for 75 minutes against the French. You just have to laugh... Vern's refusal to pick a proper bench was going to hurt us eventually.

My mother just asked "That Scottish captain, Laidlaw, does he do anything? His shirt is spotless, I haven't seen him run or tackle yet, does he just put the ball into the scrum? The most energy he has is when he stands there clapping, think he was a sea lion in a previous life."

great team try scored by Hogg... I was just thinking that the only way we're getting thru them was via missed tackles but actually, Horne was brilliant at FH right then... Great stuff

God call from the ref. THat's where having an ex-player makes a big difference.

Nice that Brian agrees.

That try seemed to happen in slow motion. Took so long to get there.

Mixed bag from both teams, few mistakes both teams plenty to work on but plenty of encouragement too. Think Fra are looking more dangerous in that they're more creative with the ball, whereas we seem to be having to fight for every blade of grass.

Fair play to Horne - he's doing well.

Well that was a lot of fun. At the end of the day we're ahead and it was really good to watch. Horne justifying his place on the team, I really like having on the bench for that versatility and the smarts he brings.

Now for the second half to go wrong in some hideous way.

We nearly always look like we should win this fixture. We need to be all over every single mistake they make because they probably won't be that bad again. Some great stuff though. Is Dunbar really into this?
