Not seen anything - I hope Weru comes to you so we can get a decent look at him, sounds like a good prospect in the back row - apparently the best ball carrying the coaches have seen at U18 level.

Surprised Haywood hasn't retired tbh- been a great servant but he was well off the pace last season.

He certainly was in the first half of the season, thought he was playing well towards the business end

Not what I saw live in April, but you watch more than me.

Willemsen another I'd like to see more of, and not just because of the identity of his cousin. Apparently played basketball to a decent level down in Australia and if that means he's got any similarities to Theo McFarland in his athleticism and approach he could be fun to watch.

It may be irrelevant. Robbie Smith seems to be highly rated but was unfortunate to be behind McGuigan and Blamire at Falcons. I’ve only see him play a couple of times, but I think he has a fairly good chance of leapfrogging Haywood and Fish.

Yeah I've seen Smith play a couple of times and he looked handy. From what I remember liked to carry and was fairly mobile. Could be a really decent signing for Saints if he can adapt to the way they attack.

Yeah agreed - I was really hoping to see more of him in the cup last season. Certainly has the physical potential to be a good player, and like you said potentially the handling crossover from basketball

Liebenberg confirmed as Tigers captain to replace Genge. Solid, uncontroversial decision that.

Yep. He was vice captain last season so makes sense. Was an age grade captain for SA as well.

Only doubt I have is that he's generally a man of few words. Well spoken and well selected words but with a heavy accent. Not ideal for quickly getting your points across to the referee. Gengey with his quick wit was actually really good at that

First preseason match and:
‘Rayer will be able to call upon four exciting Northampton Saints prospects from the bench. Geordie Irvine and Jake Garside both spent time at Goldington Road last season, while we welcome backs duo Matt Arden and Toby Thame into the #BluesFamily.’

Will be interesting to see how Arden goes with you. He's our 3rd choice specialist fly half but I've seen next to nothing of him playing.

Pollard confirmed as out for 6 weeks with a knee injury. Not great news for Leicester, as it'll mean he'll be out till mid-October by my reckoning, although it might mean that he's not called up for the AIs if SA do well without him.

They might opt against him for the AIs and look to experiment a little anyway. They have given out caps and trialled a few different combinations over the course of the summer and are carrying on this weekend, including a 19 year old debutant on the wing.
