Got to say, although England have been a mixed bag, Jack Bracken has been bloody excellent! For a school kid he’s looked superb!

Good to get that game out of the way. Get a bloody nose and see it through. The pack were very good mostly. Scrum excellent against a significantly heavier and much vaunted Argentina pack.

Lots of errors and silly penalties and far too many times player looked to go for glory rather than the sensible and better option of passing the ball on. Pollock’s was utterly criminal!

Aside from the pack most of the backs did well. Halfbacks were a mixed bag, but the rest decent. Redshaw and Bracken the standouts. Bracken was superb! He’ll get the glory for the tries and break, but it was the little decisions he made that stood out for me. Like a duck to water at this level! And great to finish the game with both he and Friday on!

Fiji won’t be easy by any means but should be a chance to get the rhythm going before the big game against the Saffers. They’ll be very tough. We’re a mixed bag in the U20 Rugby Championship.

Just caught the result. Watched the first 30 minutes, saw us go 0-14 and thought we're going to get a a hiding here.

Good comeback.

I was particularly please with how the pack seemed to start off under the cosh, but worked it out themselves and came back to gain superiority, and to do so before the coachez could tell them how.
Otherwise, it's all been said above, Kerr and Bracken the pick of the backs. 2 props and Carnduff the pick of the forwards

I thought Kerr was outstanding. Can definitely see him getting some games time for Quins next season.

It might require a rethink of how they use their midfield at Quins but Quins need a 12 and Kerr just looks a classy operator. With Andre gone there is an opportunity for a different kind of 12 to step in as well.

That pretty much has to happen anyway, Anyanwu is still uhh.. developing and Northmore/Beard can't play like Esterhuizen (few can, tbf) so the backrow are going to be running more crashball. Interested to see how we adapt and yeah, Kerr looks like he'll definitely have a role to play if he kicks on

**eta forgot about Joseph but he's not reeeaally a bosher either

Very true, Andre isn't really replaceable. Quins have run one of Northmore or Anyanwu at 12 previously in a more direct role when he hasn't been available. Hyde could maybe also do that role but having a more rounded skillset in Kerr would be an interesting watch.

Fairly standard game so far - England leading 19-3 with a maul try, a good forwards try (ball in-and-out of the loosehead's hands to put the tighthead through a gap, whereupon he steps the full-back for the try), then a winger's try from a period of pressure. We've just got forward dominance.

And Pollock's just scored a long-range try off the bench to get us a bonus point in 26 minutes. Result decided already; just a question of how wide the margin.

It's the first time I'm seeing Cameron Miell try and by gods is his hair atrocious. Just the worst kind of mullet - looks like someone got distracted halfway through shaving his head. I'm hoping it's a bet or forfeit rather than him actually thinking that looks good.

Good timing.
Great break by the kiwi wing, with support, but takes the FB tackle instead of of the 1 on 0. Fails to pop the ball up to secondary support, so rolls again, illegally.
Then gets stroppy and throws the ball away, to give France another 10m for the penalty.

Gotta love a nice, calm head.
