Steyn at 14 against Kinghorn at 11 should be fun.

Well done to the Weegies for winning that remarkable match. Coming back from 21-0 down is a hell of an achievement.

That was great. Pretty deflating first half, but always hard to judge how tough the weather conditions are on TV. It may be that the defence and rips etc. in that half were what won it!
Second half, just looked composed, physical and dangerous. Dobie is so weirdly powerful on the wing! Brown also made a difference.

What a game to be at, electric. Notwithstanding the conditions, playing into that wind and rain in the 1sr half must've been horrendous, but Glasgow were pretty turgid and obv just really trying to get to half time. Although I have to say, some individual mistakes aside, the forwards were immense, they way the defended Toulouse attacking lineout mauls was first class.
2nd half, oh boy, just about a perfect 40 minutes of rugby. Horne came on and showed Dupont what scrum half rugby is about (

), the speed and accuracy of possession was unreal, Toulouse got hammered and had nothing at all in reply, even after all our subs came on. Not sure I agreed with Hastings as mom after that effort from the forwards, but that's nitpicking, they were all magnificent.

well well well
Media and some fans all about how Glasgow were so outplayed first half. Finished 21-0 down but never outplayed IMHO. One lapse allowing the best an d quickest ball playing lock in the world to break like the ex stand off he is, one blatant forward pass, and one uncharacteristic missed tackle by McKay made the 21-0. sure they had other chances, so did Glasgow. But exiting against that wind was so limiting. As Toulouse also found out.
2nd half, again Toulouse had a couple of nice breaks which they could not convert; ditto Glasgow. But there was a metaphorical collective rolling up the sleeves by Glasgow, and TBH once we had the first try we had all the momentum (as well as possession and territory) and the win seemed inevitable. We stopped Toulouse from scoring for 45mins (they average c40pts a game in T14) and frankly bullied their pack all 2nd half
And so it came to pass, a lovely xmas present

Er, not such an easy or enjoyable watch. Can't argue with a BP win but it was a but of a cripple fight.

agree
A typical 1872 I'm afraid. Edinburgh step up their intensity for these in the same way they do for a couple of other games each season, but in the 1872 its all about trying to drag Glasgow down the that slogfest. They know, we know they can't win in an open attractive game of rugby.
Its I guess a good tactic for them, but its not good to watch and the lack of especially Edin fans tsays it all

he got out of going to Bayonne when they got relegated, went to Quins instead. But early 2024 he was linked to both Bayonne and Montpellier, both in T14 and as per those reports was off to to sign for Montpellier. He didn't, he extended at Glasgow until at 2026. The rumours are not always true, so we will see re Hastings

Franco seems to have confirmed, without confirming it, that Hastings is going at end of season. I wish h9m well but don't think its a great move for him rugby wise. The money, climate and lifestyle however.......

Yeah, shame. Not very very top level, but I always enjoy watching a team with him at 10 because of the way he threatens the line. Playing well this year too.
Some changes for the Zebre game. Yule at 12 and Munn on the wing. Huge shame that Watson isn't fit, would have probably had 2 or 3 starts.

Hastings - a few of us felt if he came back the same player who left we'd be happy. If not.......
Well he made it. I remember him at U20s, I never seen a crash ball 10 before (actually not quite true, Tommy Hayes was more than capable at bashing it up) so was a bit dubious but he became a ery good player at club level. Oh, and the next crash ball 10 I recall was Jordan. Must be the Glasgow air
Watson was in line a few weeks back, ie in the Franco plan, in the plan before he got injured in a nothing match
