Little kick bellends. He could have fallen over the tryline then!

These late tries are an annoyance.
EDIT: Nope. He somehow managed to lose it.

The big problem, with gauging how well the All Blacks have handled the transition from RWC champions to losing half the team in retirement, is that the Aussies have been such pants all year.
Hopefully the Saffers and Argies can give us a better gauge.

Good second half. Can't help feeling we were worth an extra 10 points, but 20 points over Australia is always a good result.
Wallabies pretty impotent despite their early truculence, never really in the game. They've got big problems. Moore's got to go. Lineout a shambles, scrum probably statistically had a win but goodness knows how. Backline clueless.
Coles, Cane, Retallick, Barrett all had big games. Dagg finished well twice. Good debut from linert brown. Some poor kicking.

Loved the slow-mo replay, following the scrum penalty at about 73 minutes, of Cheika in the box yelling at the ref. If my lip reading is right he, said, "Oh, f*** off. F*** off. F***ing cheating c***."
All class, Cheiks. All class.
All class, Cheiks. All class.

Just to put their problems in context, they've faced the number 1 ranked team in the world, true, but that team has also lost a handful of some of the greatest players the game has ever seen. That team has also been hit by injuries and had to reform the front row, the centre field, and the back 3, on the fly.Spy wrote:Good second half. And the Aussies have still been dicked badly twice in succession. They were a little better tonight, sure, a little more "physical" as they like to call it, but their discipline sucked (losing the ball when on attack, in a game where you're struggling for any possession at all, due to off the ball idiocy, is fecking criminal) and they still looked basically clueless.
Speaking of increased "physicality", why does every game Quade Cooper plays in devolve into a running series of off the ball niggles, cheap shots, and infringements?
And the Aussie commentators wonder why the ref didn't even want to talk to the Aussie captain. Well, I could show them a few clues.

The ABs didn't play to their best either. Quite a few opportunities blown. If they had clicked it would be a bloodbath. Argentina and SA will give us bigger problems

I hope so. Because we need to know before we go north in November.Len wrote:The ABs didn't play to their best either. Quite a few opportunities blown. If they had clicked it would be a bloodbath. Argentina and SA will give us bigger problems

I wouldn't be worried about those lot either. They're not as good as their fans think they are.scuzzaman wrote:I hope so. Yeah, I'm pretty zen with that, but I've seen the All Blacks get complacent, and young teams with early success are prone to it.Len wrote:I wouldn't be worried about those lot either. They're not as good as their fans think they are.
I expect the northern sides to do what they normally do; push us hard for 60 to 80* minutes (depending on which side we're looking at) and then fade in the last quarter.
I want to know they can handle real pressure.
P.S. Does anyone have a good video (or a link to one) of the Franks "eye gouge". I saw it happen live and the ref was right there looking directly at the maul, so the whole thing seemed odd.
[EDIT: * I meant to write "50 to 60 minutes"]

There certainly seems to be a case to answer.
Mind you, what sort of Mickey Mouse outfit gives the ref a serve after the match but then fails to lodge a complaint with the judiciary over that sort of thing?

Franks seems to be feeling around the whole face until he gets the right spot.Lizard wrote:There certainly seems to be a case to answer.

I'm very curious who it is that actually suggests we're on a level with the all blacks? When you say fans you don't mean Clive Woodward do you? Do people actually think this, or is it one of those things you just kind of say.Len wrote:I wouldn't be worried about those lot either. You've remembered that they're not playing us this year, right?Mikey Brown wrote:I'm very curious who it is that actually suggests we're on a level with the all blacks? Apparently not. I don't know who they're playing. Though it doesn't really make much difference to the argument. It could have been about Ireland/France, less so Wales and quite unlikely it was about Scotland.Puja wrote:You've remembered that they're not playing us this year, right?Mikey Brown wrote:I'm very curious who it is that actually suggests we're on a level with the all blacks? There is nothing scheduled that I know of. Mid year we've got Lions 2017 and France 2018. End of year, Ireland x2, Italy & France in 2016, nothing set in stone for 2017 or 2018 but I would expect England to feature.
