The first up tackling is pathetic from the weeg. They just cannot cope with Connacht's physicality. Third player concussed in 30 minutes for the weeg. Doubt Favaro will be back on.
Their plan is give the ball to Aki as it always has been. It's not -that- hard to plan for. Glasgow almost get a breakaway try if only it had been Hogg on the end of that ball and not Mark Bennett!

Glasgow's pathetic first up tackles are creating the momentum for Connacht. Their acceleration is ridiculous, you just cannot miss those. It's scattering the defence and creating gaps everywhere. Would be interested to see the tackle stats.

No team deserves to a final with defence like this. 10-3 is a very, very generous scoreline for the Weeg.

What a start to the second half. Could have been 10-10 easily but Ryan Wilson's discipline lets the team down again. The try was coming, not needed. Connacht now have possession and field position despite being under a lot of pressure.

Blimey. The try is finally here. That should give Glasgow a wee bit of confidence. They look good when on the attack and I realise the game plan is built on keeping the ball alive but those 50/50 passes in the hope someone latches onto it instead of recycling are costing them big time.
Conversion is not good. 10-8.

Apparently it's a good idea to piss around in your 22 after scoring a try in a tight game. Connacht have a 5m lineout.

Glasgow's maul defence was absolutely superb just then. Nailed it.
This ref is absolutely diabolical though. Connacht man played the ball on the floor and its apparently a Connacht pen in front of the posts.

This ref needs to be taken out back and shot. Connacht 1 pops up and 3 gets twisted in all sorts of bother by Ryan Grant, huge drive forward in the scrum from weeg.... Penalty to Connacht, naturally.

Glasgow were pathetic. Utterly embarrassing. They are in dire, dire need of a leader and a captain. Hopefully Corey Flynn will take responsibility next season.
Having said that the group of players & the coaching staff deserve a lot of credit for the league position given what they've had to endure this season. A very good season on the whole.

Exactly. Losing by 5 points in those circumstances to a very good team is not pathetic

Losing to Connacht is not pathetic no. The performance was. Like I said, Glasgow have had a great season but the last two games leave question marks over a lot of things. It is not the first time this year Glasgow have shown that they have no plan B.
Definitely one for Toony and his coaching team to analyse in depth.
On a side note, D'Arcy Rae was excellent today. Glasgow & Scotland quite lucky to have two very, very promising young tightheads.

Shut left eye could indicate a bust cheek bone at least.. Though hopefully (unlikely) will not require surgery..

. Finn Russell remains under observation in hospital following a clash of heads in the first minute of Saturday's GUINNESS PRO12 Play-Off in Galway.
However, his condition has improved significantly over the last couple of days and it's been confirmed that he does not require surgery.
Russell, who was transferred from University Hospital in Galway to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin, is expected to be discharged later this week.
His return to training date will be determined when he is back in Glasgow.
Glasgow Warriors would like to thank the Connacht medical team, players and staff for their support. The club would also like to thank the University Hospital in Galway and Beaumont Hospital in Dublin for all their help.
Finn and his family really appreciate all the messages of support, with which they have been inundated.
Other players are still being assessed by the Glasgow Warriors medical team following Saturday's match against Connacht.
Further updates will be provided when available.

Great news that he doesn't need surgery. SRU have confirmed he is out of the Japan tour with a replacement to be named in "due course".

I could probably get a hold of some valium for you. They'll be street vallies mind so I can't vouch for the quality but the offers there in case you want to pop a couple before reading Weir's name.

Some one on another board made a good point. The Beaumont Hospital is a neurosurgical hospital. That is concerning.
