Kell Brook was excellent in his demolition of Rabchenko

Josh Kelly made short work of a stand-in fighter who was a few levels lower than him so nothing really learned there.

Wilder v Ortiz was an interesting fight, Ortiz was winning on points but gassed out in the later rounds and was KO'd in the 10th, Wilder needed the stoppage on my card or would have lost on points. Wilder took several heavy shots from Ortiz in the 7th (I think) and proved he has a good chin, on this evidence I would expect him to give Joshua a run for his money.
What do you think of Parker's chances against Joshua?

Pretty small, he'd need to catch Joshua early on to have any chance imo.

Well, I hope you're wrong, I have $200 that will turn into $1400 if Parker manages to defy the odds.

He has a punchers chance as it's heavyweight and Joshua hasn't got the best chin in the world, I can't see him winning tho mainly due to his lack of speed.

Mikey Garcia's fighting 2a.m. Sunday on Boxnation, he's an excellent fighter, top 10 P4P imo.

Scott Quigg is also fighting at the same time on Sky Sports.

Garcia becomes a 4 weight world champion, not an easy fight for him by any means, Lipinetts was well up for it and caused him a few problems, I had arcia winning by 4 rounds, the judges by about 6.

Quigg completely outclassed and outpowered, from the start of the fight you could tell Quigg couldn't handle the power of Valdez, not sure where Quigg goes from here tbh.

That was a bit meh. I agree with the decision, but it was very low on entertainment.

Parker showed great humility in defeat.

A massive performance for Frampton on Saturday night, Donnaire is no push over, it will be interesting to see if he fights the winner of Selby v Warrington (Selby).

Amir Khan had a very impressive stoppage in 40 seconds, however a fight which lasts this long can be slightly misleading, Khan is calling out Brook now, only one winner there (Brook).

Well Lomachenko showed his class again on Saturday night against Jorge Linares, he was giving away over a stone in weight to Linares who is a 3 weight world champion, this kid is something special.

Highlights in foreign language and a little blurry:

Surprisingly, a split decision, but Warrington won with some ease.

Yep, Selby got his tactics all wrong, I thihnk everyone was expecting Warrington to be the come forward fighter instead of sitting back and countering, the two head clashes didn't help Selby either.

I can't see Warrington beating Frampton after Frampton's last performance.

The crowd were so starved of boxing that they started fighting among themselves.

Crawford made the step up to Welterweight with no issues as he beat Horne comforably on Saturday night by TKO.

I watched the replay yesterday and I was so bored I started punching myself in the face. What a farce. The fight reminded me of this, only far less entertaining:

Last weekend Josh Kelly won the Commonwealth Welterweight title in only his 7th fight, he looks the business.

This weekend sees some good prospects, Daniel Dubois fights for the English Heavyweight title (KO win there I think) and Anthony Yarde is fightinga polish fighter who has a good record albeit mostly from fights in Poland, another KO win methinks despite the Polish bloke having never been stopped before.

Martin Murray is topping the bill, I wish he would retire before he loses respect as he has nothing more to prove after fighting for World titles in the past, a level he is no longer at unfortunately.

Well Fury had his second comeback fight on Saturday, he looked a lot sharper than the previous fight but failed to stop a bloke who was stopped by Kevin Johnson in 7, I still think his style could cause problems for the incumbents tho I think that fighting Wilder at this stage is not his best option (unsurprisingly that's the option he has taken tho), I can only think that Fury is looking for a couple of big fights and then see you later, there are plenty of domestic heavyweights he could have warmed up against before facing Wilder which would give him a much better chance of success.

Frampton was class as usual.

Paddy Barnes was hoplessly outclassed by an excellent Nicaraguan in his World title bout.

So on Saturday Amir Khan is set to fight Samuel Vargas, I expect Khan to win this one, Vargas hasn't stopped anyone for a few years and Khan for all his jaw issues is a very good boxer.

If he wins then a fight against either Pacquiao or Brook is on the cards, he won't win either of those two.

Why, just why do some people insist on videoing themselves carrying out ill-judged pranks and then seem surprised by the result?!?

Devastating finish from AJ, but he looked a bit average in the early rounds. Perhaps he was just sizing Povetkin up, but he looked like he was caught out a few times, especially with that early combination.

Still, that finish though. Wow. Just what he needed.

He's certainly shown his critics who claimes that he couldn't take a punch across his last few fights, but I'd be happier if he stopped taking quite so many. This is heavyweight and, no matter how good your chin is, sooner or later one's going to drop you.

I'm not sure he's shown his critics much, after he got caught early on he took a couple of rounds to recover, the issue being that other fighters would have jumped on him, I wouldn't fancy his chances against Wilder tbh.

Why from round two or three was AJ bending so much at the knees?

To me that simply lessened his height advantage but it seemingly perturbed his opponent who then struggled to work to the inside. I'm presuming such plan must have been deliberate, but I don't have a grasp on what it technically altered nor why it swung momentum from the opening of the fight

Because it’s difficult to bend at the thighs.

He was getting caught on the counter whenever he threw his jab to the head, he then started jabbing to the body which would require bending, what he doesn't do if duck his head behind the jab to avoid the counter which is what is advisable.
