By that do you mean Barclay is gubbed? I wouldn't see it as difficult in the slightest if he isn't. Shame for Laidlaw though, still think he's got something to offer.

Barclay is seeing a concussion specialist having shown no signs of his concussion improving after 3 weeks. It's highly doubtful he'll be ready to play in 3 weeks.

I think losing Barclay is bigger than it might seem. Yes, we have back row replacements, but I think Barclay brings more intelligence/ game management than the rest though.

I get the feeling from a discussion on PR that he's not interested. According to folk there he's turned down Glasgow so presumably the prospect of a Scotland cap was discussed. If he's never been involved in a Scotland squad it's maybe more to do with not being interested rather than not having the opportunity.

Picking more foreigners. Not sure how I feel about that. I like the ones we’ve got and if I were in Toony’s shoes I’d probably do the same.

I don't agree with it unless they've previously stated how much they feel they pure dead love pretending to be Scottish. If I was the national coach I'd definitely be looking at plastic dross as well as homegrown dross.

Agreed and that would be all part of the conversation. It is a different conversation now than when he was an academy player. I just thought important to say I couldn't find any proof that he had actually turned Glasgow and/or Scotland for that matter down. Those sorts of rumours are unfair unless there is proof.

David Denton gets his first start in the 8 shirt for nearly 7 seasons. I've said it a billion times but could really do with him making a comeback.
