Worth keeping an eye out for Phil Cringle (TH prop), Tijiuee Uanivi (lock) and Fraser Lyle at full back.

I only see two SQ in the 23. Very different from the last few seasons.

Looking at the A team fred on the England forum, the obvious Scots:
Leicester Tigers A
1 Kyle Traynor, 2 Jake Kerr, 4 Archie MacPherson Must be Scots blood in there

Wasps A
10 Connor Eastgate,
17 George Thornton 20yo hooker.

Newcastle Falcons A
9 Ruaridh Dawson

Sale Jets
10 Cameron Redpath Although he swapped allegiance and plays age grade for England, his auld man might have a word.

Northampton Wanderers
23 Rory Hutchinson.

Bristol United
1 Jack Cosgrove,

London Irish A
23 Alec Coombes.

Gloucester United
19 Andy Cramond

Will have missed some, but some young blood to keep an eye on.

Redpath is one to keep an eye on. Still an under 18 and at 6ft 2 and 13.5 stone he'll end up a decent sized 10.

Is Mrs Redpath a particularly tall lady then?

Finlay Christie playing for Tasman on SS Action at the moment. Decent game.

Barclay being assessed by specialist concussion doctors. Not a good sign at all.

For the game in general I'd say. NH seems to be having an injury crisis the last few months.

Gray Sr is allowed to run at training again and should be fit for top14 duty in November.

Big Jim Hamilton suggesting Bristol are looking at Gray.

Laidlaw has a fractured ankle.

Interesting call for Scotland captain for the AIs.

By that do you mean Barclay is gubbed? I wouldn't see it as difficult in the slightest if he isn't. Shame for Laidlaw though, still think he's got something to offer.

Barclay is seeing a concussion specialist having shown no signs of his concussion improving after 3 weeks. It's highly doubtful he'll be ready to play in 3 weeks.

I think losing Barclay is bigger than it might seem. Yes, we have back row replacements, but I think Barclay brings more intelligence/ game management than the rest though.

I'm not sure if you thought that was what I was saying, but I absolutely agree. That's real shit to hear about the concussion thing. We'd lose a lot without him but they better be certain about it if they're letting him back on the field.

I get the feeling from a discussion on PR that he's not interested. According to folk there he's turned down Glasgow so presumably the prospect of a Scotland cap was discussed. If he's never been involved in a Scotland squad it's maybe more to do with not being interested rather than not having the opportunity.

Picking more foreigners. Not sure how I feel about that. I like the ones we’ve got and if I were in Toony’s shoes I’d probably do the same.

I don't agree with it unless they've previously stated how much they feel they pure dead love pretending to be Scottish. If I was the national coach I'd definitely be looking at plastic dross as well as homegrown dross.

He played age grade for Scotland. I haven't seen anything other than the poster on PR saying he'd turned down Glasgow. This link http://www.scotsman.com/sport/rugby-uni ... -1-4555496 suggests he was approached but that doesn't mean he was offered a deal. His playing opportunities at Gloucs are pretty good too. He's involved in a high %age of games.

He strikes a cool tone in that interview but it makes sense not to jump up and down about maybe playing for Scotland until someone gives him a call to discuss it properly.

We've got to remember also that his chances of playing will drastically decease if he declares for Scotland and glous can no longer claim an English qualified player bonus from the RFU.

Agreed and that would be all part of the conversation. It is a different conversation now than when he was an academy player. I just thought important to say I couldn't find any proof that he had actually turned Glasgow and/or Scotland for that matter down. Those sorts of rumours are unfair unless there is proof.

David Denton gets his first start in the 8 shirt for nearly 7 seasons. I've said it a billion times but could really do with him making a comeback.
