Re: Trump
If he really is on a course of Dex and it is early stages of infection, he could be in for a bumpy ride.
But enough of taking this clown seriously. That ludicrous display last night, the theatrical ascending of the stairs and peeling off the mask with the Mussolini impression....what the shitting fuck? That is the curtain on a bad pantomime performed by D-list celebrities. This is America now. Nothing this administration does can be taken seriously. Nothing. Even a quarter of a million deaths fails to elicit an adult responsible reaction. The whole country is now full of shouty ignorant angry racist fuckheads that sneer at expertise. They are the minority, but their peeps are running the show now. Anyone really think the Trump family, Steve Mnuchin, Chuck Grassley, Mitch McConnel really represent the diversity of America? It's fucking unpleasant here at the moment. Angry, stupid minority rule. Fuck this.

Re: Trump
And there’s the problem. There’s still a very large suspicion that this is mostly horseshit. Has there been a genuine medical reason for his medications, is it just precautionary because he is rich and famous, or is it just bull? Hard to tell.morepork wrote:If he really is on a course of Dex and it is early stages of infection, he could be in for a bumpy ride.

Re: Trump
It's fucking bullshit, that's what it is. How much money do they spunk on these PR exercises? He just looks like a cartoon cunt, a facsimile of a village idiot, a caricature of a stupid fat man. All to undermine public health directives so wealthy people can get their minimum wage carbon-based life forms back toiling in the fields. It's repugnant.

(CNN)Facebook on Tuesday removed a post from President Trump in which he falsely claimed that Covid-19 is less deadly than the seasonal flu.
Facebook spokesperson Andy Stone confirmed the company removed the post for breaking its rules on Covid-19 misinformation.

Re: Trump
Jr seems to have carved a niche making a cunt of himself in front of grieved white people making "Ooohh Daddy, please like me" noises. It's bizarre. There are so many wankers that make a living selling culture war like Charlie Kirk and Candice Owens. These cunts reproduce on social media.
Fuck. I think I am depressed. Need to switch off now.

Re: Trump
Trump has just decided to announce (via Twitter, of course) that all Coronavirus stimulus packages are to be cancelled until after the election, citing that Pelosi is asking for too much and trying to spin that she wants to use the bill to bail out Democratic states, rather than fight COVID.
Nate Silver (the guy behind fivethirtyeight) had the most apposite response:
In what kind of a world does this make sense? Sure, he's freeing the Senate's docket to try and rush through his cult-judge, but in doing so, he's claiming responsibility for choosing not to support the economy and for no more helicopter money cheques for voters. The economy and how prosperous they're feeling are one of the biggest drivers of people's votes and he's gone from being able to offer a cheque signed "Donald J Trump" to struggling families to saying that he has no plans to help until after he's finished getting himself elected.
And, of course, this happened straight after:
See if you can guess at which point in the graph that tweet went out?

As far as he is concerned, him blaming Pelosi is all he needs to do...
It won't make any sense to most reasonable people, but this kinda dog whistling is enough for his core support. They'll lap it up. 'The Dems are obstructing', 'the Dems don't care about America' etc, etc.
Just hope enough reasonable voters see through it cos this kinda shit won him the election last time.

Re: RE: Re: Trump
When Donald does it it's good, thus urging his followers to head into polling stations to suppress votes for his opponent is good. I think his supporters are nuts for their base position as it were, but they're even crazier to then zig-zag all over the place to slavishly and hypocritically endorse just about anything the fat orange loon does.WaspInWales wrote:Nah, would seem a bit deep state for his core support [emoji16]Digby wrote:He could perhaps dye his hair white heading into winter and claim his surname is actually Sutherland, might as well with a balls out move towards the hunger games

Although even in Trump's base attacking Biden's sons did not go down well

His call for armed loons to staand outside and inside polling stations to ensure a fair election is scary stuff

The Obama administration did investigate the Trump campaign to look for evidence of links to Russia, of which there was shit loads.
