Oh, it's a lot better than the US system.
It's much harder to gerrymander in the UK because there's this wonderful thing called an Electoral Commission.
Meanwhile, MMP is specifically designed to eliminate gerrymandering.
I am hugely envious of the Kiwi system.

Yeah, we have that here. Appalling gerrymandering. The town next over belongs to a district that is a really weird shape so it can include a load of villages who overwhelmingly vote for the government, quashing the vote of the two main towns, which overwhelmingly vote green (well, not actually green, but green lite).

With the ongoing arguments over how to implement covid restrictions between regional and national governments, this is surely an opportunity for a review of how government is implemented in the UK. An English Parliament might not be the answer, but regional assemblies could be effective instead, with a reduced function for the HOC.

It's been reviewed and super forecasting by Agent Cummings and Goings was the answer, the UK's answer to Stephen Miller to wrangle this back to a Trump narrative

The voting rights act of '65 was supposed to prevent this sort of shit, but it got watered down in 2013. Specifically a requirement for states and localities with a history of racial discrimination had to seek federal permission to alter any aspect of their voting laws. This got 86'd in 2013 and now those places continue to play silly buggers. Theses places have to be compelled to move on from the Civil War.

Sounds like things are getting you down MP. Here's a nice, light-hearted Trump moment to cheer you up. Wholesome stuff, huh?

You could probably shut him up with food and cakes and things. Jam a milkshake in his hand to pacify him.
Then hit him over the back of the head with a 9 iron.

Beckoning the waiter in is just the icing on the cake. Mere mortals only ever discuss information that classified in authorised secure rooms, not in a frocking restaurant. I know that politicians often assume that the rules don’t apply to them, but Trump
Is a special kind of idiot.

As a non-golfer i recommend something a bit heavier. That stirrup will absorb quite a lot of force.

Would be interested to get your views on the White House's handling of the pandemic Coco. Not looking to beat you up on it, genuinely interested on your take.

My take on it is simply... I dont believe the numbers are complete or accurate... yet. Its all over the place depending how its looked at or who is reporting it. I do wonder why there arent bio-hazard recepicles placed in public places so we can properly dispose of used masks, etc. Are we supposed to burn them... reuse them... ?

I can't speak for the others but there doesn't seem to be anything interesting about Hunter's laptop, not that I'd expect there would be. And the chap crowd surfing is (was?) a supposed Democratic lawyer who's declared Biden corrupt and thrown in his lot with Trump, which might play well locally. And it's a thing because that's a Trump event where even for Trump events that's moronic behaviour

Not sure I understand what you're saying there. I think it's "I don't have an opinion on the White House performance because the numbers (of deaths?) reported can't be trusted". Was hoping for something more ...... something more.

For a start, this isn't Breitbart, OAN and/or Fox News forums.
Btw, where/what is the smoking gun with the laptop?
Just read tonight that Giuliani has filed a complaint with a police force regarding images relating to images found on Hunter's laptop that concern underage sexual exploitation.
I've no idea if the claims are true. Let me be clearer...I've no idea if the story about Giuliani filing a report of that nature is true.
What I do know, and this is something that is consistent with certain right-wing/pro-Trump support is that they tend to use the pedo card with alarming regularitry.
Pizza-gate and pizza-gate 2, Tom Hanks, Oprah, Biden(s)...the list is almost endless. Anyone with political or celebrity status that opposes Trump is accused of being part of this unholy cult. I say unholy, but it's not as if any Christian faiths have ever been involved with any of that shit is it? Social media is constantly buzzing about arrest warrants on these people, but nothing happens, but people are still buying into it.
Also, what I do know is that Giuliani was made to look like a twat (hard to imagine I know) in an upcoming film.
But yeah, what about Hunter?
