Clearly see Swinson as being more important when the teams are quite, dont get GG at all, before WC he looked great but i think he has been fairly pish since then, last time he played for Scotland he constantly looked like he was in the way.
If he could get his form back he would be a very good player but even then still 4th or 5th choice for me and likly to drop down after Cummings gets another season or 2

I've no rage left in me.

Weird move, he's been lucky to make Edinburgh's bench recently and they're not a good team currently. Hope it works out though as he still has all sorts of potential. Maybe they have some secret plan but I'd be unhappy if i was swinson.

Shame Grays tournament ends on injury. Bar the England game he has been great.

The italian pack is mince, if scotland play the way they have been they will take 30 points off the Italians, but they really need to aim for 50
I dont think thats realistic but they need to go all out to try and turnover the points difference between Wales and France
I will pick who i support after i see how well Scotland does

VC really is a horrible selector isn't he? Gilchrist has done nothing to deserve his spot as one of the favourites. I can at least see the logic with Laidlaw. This is just mental and Swinson deserves better - he's playing the best rugby of his career.

Sorry

I dont think its realistic, Scotland doesnt come back well from a pumping like some teams, we will get the win but miss out on the second place finish.

The other thing that rustles me about the Gilchrist selection is that he's also a complete sicknote. It wouldn't surprise me to see him go off early with an injury. Given we've had injury crises in two games already you'd think Cotter would pick a much sturdier player - especially as Toolis & Swinson are in far better form.

Agree. Toolis has been one of the few bright lights for Edinburgh this year and has been ahead of Gilchrist in the pecking order.

Ok, coming up to game time. Thinking that i won't be surprised if we're behind at halftime, just hope that we don't panic. Expecting a tense mess of a game.

It's Zebre and Treviso. If it turns into a tense, tight game up until 80 mins then last week wasn't a one off. They have serious psychological issues that need to be addressed by a sports psychologist.
Man for man we are better everywhere besides 8 and Wilson is hardly a slouch. The only thing that scares me is ourselves & Italy's very clever coaching team.

Two things. First i do really rate their coaching team, they will have targeted this game and will have prepared well. Second Italy have been in all of their games at halftime and ahead in two. I hope that we finish stronger but it is possible for pros to get tight in those circumstances and it's happened before to us.

That scrum overhead was interesting. Fords shoulders were ahead of Reid's putting pressure on their TH I assume.

I don't get that. Visser is at the bottom of a ruck and Russell kicks towards the left.
