You could get half a dozen weapons in one decent sized suitcase. I dont know how many rounds he's fired but if it is 5000 through one weapon system then, aye, the barrel will be redders and there could potentially be stoppage issues. The brass wouldn't be anywhere near him as they would be ejected off to the side.
It would have looked odd though carrying hat many suitcases up to the hotel room. Noisy too unless the weapons were well wrapped in something.

I agree, the spend cases argument is bollocks.
Who's going to notice if he did a couple of trips over the course of a couple of days?
Loads of staff in those places so probably not if he kept the loads light. His bigger problem would be bell hops.

Even if staff did notice, so what? You're allowed to have guns in Nevada because Freedumbs.

Yeah, I don't think trucking in a few assault rifles would raise too many eyebrows in Nevada TBH. The gun shows they have in Vegas are frightening.

One or 2 maybe, but 20 odd with thousands of rounds of ammo might raise a comment.

I still don't see it as a logistical obstacle. The white elephant in the room is the white elephant. White dudes can stock up an arsenal and are indeed encouraged to do so. Social media is awash with mature caucasian men that celebrate their arsenals with impunity. Nevada has no limits on bulk purchases of guns or ammo, and you don't have to register anything not concealed. "Self-regulation" extends as far as not letting Abdul buy yer guns. The absence of sensible firearms regulation creates a warm, well-stocked snowflake safe place for America's mentally ill white population. You know it's true because the data bears it out.

The number of Americans who own a substantial number of weapons is mental, no arguments there. Reform of the laws is blatantly a requirement, and not just tinkering with accessories but removing complete types from public availability.

There are estimated to be over 300 million guns in America. Is it too late for gun control to have any meaningful effect?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/investig ... story.html
So, Roy Moore, (Republican), is up for election in Alabama; and has been accused of sexual assault of a minor (14 years old) albeit 40-odd years ago.
Leigh Corfman told The Washington Post that Moore, then a 32-year-old assistant district attorney, took off her shirt and pants and removed his own clothes in one 1979 incident. He touched her through her bra and led her hands to touch him through his underwear, she said. She was 14 at the time.
Three other women who spoke to the Post ― for a deeply reported article that was published Thursday ― said Moore had “asked them on dates when they were between 16 and 18 and he was in his early 30s.”

In his defence we have...
http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/r ... 7d2f366dba
Alabama Bibb County Republican chairman Jerry Pow tells me he'd vote for Roy Moore even if Moore did commit a sex crime against a girl. "I would vote for Judge Moore because I wouldn't want to vote for Doug," he says. "I'm not saying I support what he did."
Yes - that's right, being a democrat really is worse than sexually assaulting a minor.

“He’s clean as a hound’s tooth,” Alabama State Auditor Jim Ziegler “Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus. There’s just nothing immoral or illegal here. Maybe just a little bit unusual.”
Yes - that's right, sexually assaulting a minor isn't immoral or illegal; and if it was good enough for the Virgin Mary, then... wait, hang on a second... virgin?

Alabama state Rep. Ed Henry had this to say though: “If they believe this man is predatory, they are guilty of allowing him to exist for 40 years,” he told The Cullman Times. “I think someone should prosecute and go after them. You can’t be a victim 40 years later, in my opinion.”
Yes - that's right, if you're abused as a child, and only come forward with this 40 years later, YOU are the one who should be prosecuted.

I thought Moore had been accused by more than one person, with one of them being a minor back when the accusations relate to. Though he is only accused

Yes, one 14 year old, and three others aged between 16 and 18
And yes ,it's only an accusation at this stage, but those quote were of the "if guilty, then..." variety.
It's also worth pointing out that most republicans asked said that if guilty, he should withdraw from the race, or not be allowed to take his seat in the senate etc.
Mind, he's also still polling at 46% with 80+% being aware of the allegations

I believe he's also claiming that he's innocent of the charges, and has notes from their mums giving him permission... erm...

Yeah. Class act.

Someone from his posse was making the argument that there are plenty of examples from the bible of older men with young women / girls so...you know...are you questioning the bible...

So using a defence from a time where young girls were given as wives for actions in the contemporary era. Some of those supporting comments just make the mind boggle. I do think that we overplay a politicians private life at times, o one is perfect. But these accusations go beyond any legal but morally dubious activity and should see him put to one side until proven or otherwise. The fact he is still polling so well speaks volumes of tribal politics.

It's ok when God fearing Christians do dodgy things with young children. The Catholic church has been getting away with it for donkeys years.

Note how these right wing conservative types react to other religions and their equally depraved practices.

Abuse is abuse. There can be no moral high ground.

Way ahead of His time with the hipster beard.
It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.

I can almost picture him sitting outside a coffee shop in Galilee, overlooking the Sea of Galilee whilst sipping on a custom made offering...probably a cold brew and telling people how to live their lives and then dropping in the occasional 'have I told you about the time I walked on that water??'.

Pure class.

Then somebody makes the mistake of saying: The whole family's coming over this weekend and I simply don't have enough food to feed them all..

well, you know there was this one time..
