A digression I know but I have just revisited this game from 2003. I haven't watched it in full since that glory year but was sat behind the posts where Greenwood scored after one of Billy's most incredible bursts from deep. England were a mixed bag on the day and leaving Suncorp that evening I recall a few Aussies saying there was no way England would win the World Cup that year. Would love to negotiate a deal with HG Wells and transport Robinson to our current team.

Simmonds seems able to do most things well. Hard to find a chink in his game. Jones can use him in many different roles. If he keeps up current form he will be an automatic England regular. Great to see a backrower with real explosive pace, never mind the other attributes.
Now you see, that's a bit overboard. His tight carrying isn't amazing yet, while he's undertested over the ball. He has potential...
Yes .... well he's ceratainly not another Robson, that's for sure.
Who?

If it helps, I think he was referring to George Robson, not Dan.

I'm confused. Was he ever touted as the future at 8 for England? Or the future anything for England?

Wales will be having a bit of a larf - he's there to kick the ball back to them.

er, I'd guess Robshaw tbh. That would make sense as a sarky comment

He's like 'Nipper' from every comic I read when I was young.
He even looks like adult Tin-tin. So does Underhill.

When are you going to put Mike Brown out of his misery?

You sound like you're talking about Peter Stringer 15 years ago.

We did struggle that day. We struggled in the game before against Samoa too. My recollection is that Richard Hill was missing for those 2 matches. I'd like Robinson to be available too, but I'd LOVE to have a back-row option like Richard Hill.

What, so you are a fan of wooden running, inability to recognise supporting runners, and a pass like a Parkinsonian lemur on methamphetamine?

Useful info there, other than I've no idea who Nipper is

When the choice is between Brown and Drunken Dennie, then I think you know why he's still in there...

Plus he has dog, and we know how much Eddie loves dog.
