Yep, and very good at it. His offloading game has really surprised me

He's been playing at 12 this year, since Ennor is a more natural fit at 13.

I would think it well worth a watch in your timezone, 8 am ish?

3.15 ish here is more of a stretch, specially given i don't have a solid source for the game.

Both teams stacked with ABs, new talent, weather supposed to be good i believe, get in.

Was a good game. Same as last week, the Crusaders win gets polished by a late try, but is what it is. The Blues back three must've had a hell of an Indian before the match because I've not seen a back three sh*t the bed that badly under the high ball since the 2009 AB's. Would say that was the difference.

Crusaders just too good. Blues unlucky to lose by that much though after being on top until that chargedown. I would still get Barrett to ten as soon as possible even if Black has been playing well. He is a decent 15 but you're missing out not having him at 10.

Any idea if Barrett has a particular preference or was expecting to play a certain amount of 10/15 when he moved? Hard to imagine it wasn’t discussed quite a bit.

Also, this was pretty badass.

Learnt it all from Scott Wight

BB at 15 again. If he doesn't get a game all tournament at 10, he'll be pretty frustrated. He's a good fullback but behind others there for NZ.

Weird position to be in for someone that NZ's pro players apparently rated as boy the country's best 10 and best player in that survey that was making headlines last week.

Australian tournament has not been anywhere near the same quality but Force Vs Reds last night was a very good game. Good enterprising play

This is why I was wondering if there had been any open discussion about his position from him or the Blues.

Moving from being Hurricanes 10 to Blues 15 by accident would be a bit ridiculous move for what many were calling the best player in the world a couple of years back.

I guess the idea is he can still step for moments like that try he scored from first receiver, but it does seem like a bit of a waste.

That Laumape try too- didn't realise he was that quick.

What's he going to do? Bugger off to France?

Highlanders Chiefs looked fun. Maul defence not a thing any more though?

A Smith looking like the best player in the tournament for me. Pass as sharp as ever and also looking electric on the ball.

MB - on Barrett, the coaches say that they consider it each week but that he is a 'team player' and isn't pushing them to move him

Saw crusaders v hurricanes

Great referee, not a single high tackle game was effectively self policing

Laumape gave goodhue a hiding, goodhue fell off a fair few tackles

Laumape probably injured for a bit though

Will Jordan had a hand in both of Goosen's tries in the first half as well - his misjudged a bomb from Jordie, which directly led to Goosen's first try, and in the second, he was so out of position, he was in a whole different time zone. Out of the Crusaders back three, he was probably the most disappointing.

Most of the Crusaders backline just didn't seem to turn up, bar Mo'unga, Paea and Bridge.

Didn't think Jordan was that bad. Bombed a kick but everyone does that sometimes. Took a few good ones and looked dangerous with the ball.

What a game of rugby it was all round though.

Classic fair weather rural types. Five minutes of the Blues treatment and they're already chucking in the towel and scuttling off to the safety of the softy-soft waterfront office. Too afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck into a bit of hard yakka. Smh.

I don't know how I'd missed that there was now going to be "super time" in this competition. Incredibly dumb name, but is it just next score wins, or specifically a try?

No idea what's going on in Australia, but I suspect it has to be a try? In NZ I believe it's golden point.

Cruden has done his dash in NZ.

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/sport/423019 ... o-nz-rugby

Good luck to him, he has been through a lot, including getting on the piss and missing the flight to Argentina for the 2014 RC. A right Zac Guildford.

I think Gatland might have torpedoed any hopes of an ABs slot with this comp.
