Re: Le Crunch
I’m not sure that’s possible with the existing squad. No 8 or 12 for example.

Re: Le Crunch
If Eddie couldn't pick Youngs, Farrell, Daly at 15 and threaten a forward on the wing I think he'd trigger his break clause

Isiekwe? Ewels?
Itoje apart, the quality definitely drops off but it isn't a cliff edge. The players are there

Think Ewels, Moon and Ribbans are next off the rank.Peej wrote:Isiekwe? Ewels?

I'd have Isiekwe back.

Also, Wasps are being put in a challenging position losing their first choice 10 and their star back row and super sub for part of the week when they desperately need to sort their shit following a terrible performance

Re: Le Crunch
I rate Isiekwe over Ewels and Moon, but Eddie obviously has seen something he doesn't like (even if he's a lock that can play 6! ) Ribbans looks promising.Epaminondas Pules wrote:Think Ewels, Moon and Ribbans are next off the rank.Peej wrote:Isiekwe? Ewels?

Barbeary also played 8 for Wasps on Saturday after a back row reshuffle...

Itoje, Lawes and Launch, with JHill, Ewels, Ribbands etc coming up. Kruis could well be back before the next World Cup too.
I think Jonny Hill has shown up well in his brief appearances so far. Looks very handy in the lineout and physically seems to have taken the step up in his enormous stride.

Re: Le Crunch
It hadn’t really occurred to me, but with the exception of Exeter, last season’s top 5 have struggled so far. 2 defeats already for Bath and indifferent performances from Wasps, Sale and Bristol.Peej wrote:Also, Wasps are being put in a challenging position losing their first choice 10 and their star back row and super sub for part of the week when they desperately need to sort their shit following a terrible performance
Admittedly, a few of those have lost a number of their best players to international duty or injury, but it’s a poor start by their standards.

I was curious about his weight as Jngf mentioned it. Exeter site says 112, Wiki says 134! These things often incredibly unreliable or out of days so I’d guess somewhere in the middle, but he does look massive these days.Timbo wrote:Got Lawes to come back as well remember.Peej wrote:Isiekwe? Ewels?

From seeing his Wasps performances (albeit at 6) I think he might take well to no.8Raggs wrote:Don't tell jngf..Peej wrote:Barbeary also played 8 for Wasps on Saturday after a back row reshuffle...

yeah, I was talking more from who we could pick from if we imposed the 3-game limit that France had. Agreed on Jonny Hill.Timbo wrote:Got Lawes to come back as well remember.Peej wrote:Isiekwe? Ewels?

If only they had a couple of pricey experienced Kiwi playmakers. One of whom is on a small fortune of a salary and has 18 AB caps.Peej wrote:Also, Wasps are being put in a challenging position losing their first choice 10 and their star back row and super sub for part of the week when they desperately need to sort their shit following a terrible performance
Injuries seem to be doing most the damage to Wasps but they aren't alone in that. Tigers could have really done with Genge last weekend, they wouldn't have struggled in the first half scrums Vs LI with him. Being forced to start 5th choice loosehead Bower didn't help anything.

To be fair that prodigious beard might account for 3 or 4 kilos in its own right?Mikey Brown wrote:I was curious about his weight as Jngf mentioned it. Exeter site says 112, Wiki says 134! Wasps were missing first choice ( and quite often 2nd choice too) in 1,4,5,6,8,9,10,12,13,15 which isn't ideal.

True. But even having a 2001-vintage Wilkinson would mean fuck all if you don't have a pack that can you win you any ballFKAS wrote:If only they had a couple of pricey experienced Kiwi playmakers.
