This is superb telly.
IMDB Synopsis:
Naz is a straight-laced Pakistani-American student who is off to a must-attend party on a Friday night. His only available transportation being his father's taxi cab, Naz sets off into Manhattan. But his party-going plans are quickly forgotten when a mysterious young woman jumps aboard in need of a ride. Charmed by her intense intrigue and good looks, Naz gets swept up by her pressures. After a mind-altering night of drugs and passion, the woman is dead, and Naz finds himself in the cross hairs of a gruesome murder investigation, panicked and shaken, but possibly with a trace of doubt as to his own innocence.

I think my opinion on it has changed a bit now, but I was initially very disappointed with how it ended. Or rather how it veered off in all sorts of different directions about halfway in to the season and didn't quite deliver on any of them, though some things it did fantastically well. A lot like True Detective did. What was your verdict?
The stuff on the judicial/prison system was mostly done really well I think, but slightly confused by the timeline and Nas's behaviour. Were we meant to just accept that greasy financier guy probably did it? Does Nas belong in prison anyway? Was that not the point? I wasn't quite sure what to think at the end.

I think a major part of the narrative was the retiring copper and how he realised he had made a mistake and didn't want to go out like that, whereas you'd think Nas is the main character, the copper and Turturro's charcters are just as integral.

"Camping" on Sky Box Sets.
Julia Davis.
I did all six episodes in a night. Excruciatingly funny. Very dark in places.

I'll give that a go, Julia Davis is very amusing.

I watched all 5 seasons of Game of Thrones in the space of 10 days and I'm now 'GoT blind'.
It's like being porn-blind but somehow a bit more grubby.

Just finished all 5 seasons of Life On Mars / Ashes to Ashes in 10 days - I'd previously only seen the first season of LoM, and really enjoyed that.
Really enjoyed the binge-watch too.

Are you now wandering around calling everyone 'YOU SLAAAAAG'...?.
I'm starting to ask myself 'What would Lord Tyrion do ?' in any given situation.
TBH he's not the best moral arbiter as mostly the answer is get smashed and shag some Brasses.

TBF that's pretty much Gene Hunt's go-to solution as well.

Gotta be one of the best opening episodes of a show I've seen for a while!

I've been watching:
Beck - Very good
Wallander - Also very good
Vice Principles - Entertaining
Stranger Things - Good
Things I am about to watch:
Westworld - Will probably wait til the end of the series and then watch all of them
Luke Cage - Looks good and I've heard good things (apparently I should watch Daredevil first)

Start Westworld now, you won't be disappointed. 3 episodes in and it's bloody excellent!
Enjoyed Vice Principals but Gamby was just Kenny 'fucking' Powers which didn't seem too imaginative.

I've finished Suits now right up to series 6. I have just started on Breaking Bad, appreciate I am well behind the times but I'm not willing to pay for stuff until I know if I am likely to enjoy it or not. It's quite good so far.

After series 4/5 I kinda lost interest. Started to get TOO formulaic.

6 was great tbh, very different, no spoilers. It's on Amazon video.

Aye, the lads in the office have told me I need to watch that and Daredevil before watching Luke Cage or I won't get some of what is going on.

What the fuck was going on in the 3rd episode? The pacing was ludicrous. They seemed to try and cram 20 different story lines in there. Is it meant to be that baffling? Are we even meant to care about the 'hosts'? Will it be beautifully tied together in the end or is this another series that starts fantastically and then loses itself in the web of characters and stories.
Plenty of time for it to come together but this episode seemed markedly different in quality to the first 2.
Anyone watched the 4th yet?

So, I'm really, really late to this, but I've been watching Charlie Brookers Black Mirror on Netflix. It's probably the best thing I've seen in fucking years. A loto of f it is extremely on the nose, but it really works.
