Kaino has had 1 start at lock, so technically he could wear 5, move Collins to 6 and bring in Rodney So'oialo at 8.

Taumoepoe can play hooker I think..maybe
Anesi can do 10, and bring Maka in at 8 instead
of So'oialo.Stumped for a 9..

You started strongly there, but faded quite badly. Taumoepeau hooked for the Blues and JABs so yes, he is probably the best we can do there.

I'm not sure Anesi ever played 10 being a wing/fullback.

And in what possible universe is Maka preferable to Rodney So'oialo?

Nope. He was born in Durban.

Steve Devine, on the other hand, was born on that massive island next door.
Oops. Sorry.

Best we got then. We'll take him.

no preference was either stated or inferred Liz..
even though the universe we are operating in is
RR>crookedfeed>friday xv, it's still a bit ott I would say to diss. anyone who's worn the shirt, (particularly a 20-st tongan no.8.)...Maka was reasonably effective in bursts to my memory.Rodders flattered to deceive a bit...though agree would get the pick on merit.:)

Maka was a big man, but had a touch of the Skeltons about him, never making the most of his physical attributes.

They all appear to have been born outside the country they played for. Pountney qualified via Channel Island g-parentage?

Matt Banahan
Or Neil Bennett if you want older, I'm sure there have been others too not sure if there's anyone currently in the frame

Bennett (IoM) was the answer I was looking for ( late 70's).
Banahan gets a brucie bonus. don't think there were any more from manxland or the bailiwicks. :)

Channel islands are part of the British Isles, but not part of the British Archipelago. Surely Bana.s is not the only islander to play for England though, even if only born on holiday.

I was also trying to think of anyone born on an overseas military base, or diplomatic embassy that might count as "British isles", but I think those are "British" without the isles.
Scilly Isles are English rather dependencies (I had to check that one)

Yes, I was surprised my rudimentary interweb searches gave no more internationals other than some guy who played for Spain.
There's a few early B.Isles players from Man.
(confusingly W'pedia listed Douglas Bader under notable players from IoM.. :? )
