You are fucking kidding me Brace. "That's the third high tackle. We had two at the start of the game, now one more here. You have to go lower as it's getting to be a problem."

In between times, Australia have conceded three high tackle penalties and had a chunk more that were missed. This was not considered enough for a captain's chat.

FFS sake Fiji, just start calling front ball, and drop your tackle heights.

Paid back, cause that was absolutely a shoulder direct to the jaw of the Aussie player during that break and both Brace and the TMO said it was fine. Bullet dodged there.

I know an Aus win is better for us, but I'm all on Fiji!

I've never been a fan. Conversely I don't have the kind of hatred of Australia that seems to afflict so many.

Difficult to win a game with that sort of penalty count.
Fij did well to hang in there - 3 best players off early, getting out of puff...massive game for Oz v Wal next week.
Can see them sneaking that one. :|

On today's showing you'll manage that
It was so much easier to blame Them. It was bleakly depressing to think They were Us. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

With a bit of luck we can set up an England v Fiji rematch

On today's showing, they should be expecting the victory and topping the group, not worrying sbout getting a losing bonus point.

If Australia are that Shute next week I’ll be very happy but I expect them to be better.

Australia appear to have a functioning line out at least.

The neutral would say that.

The Wales fan would only start to feel safe with a 50 point lead and 1 minute left on the clock.

Actually, make that 30 seconds. :|

Captain Skelton's allegedly out for the tournament, they're a young and inexperienced team who've just become the first Australian side in nearly 70 years to lose to Fiji and are staring down the barrel of the worst ever RWC result for Australia, combined with Uncle Eddie's high-pressure management techniques and their only full-time 10 getting unceremoniously yanked shortly after a try-gifting error. It might be that Eddie can pull something together in a week and circle the wagons, but it also might be that they start falling apart.

I would laugh, but I do get it. I remember in 2019, when we were 12 points up against NZ with 3 minutes to go and I was so mentally scarred by previous NZ games that I was worrying that they'd score two tries and win by 2. It's a hard being a fan sometimes.

That’s just taking the piss.
It's kind of worrying to think of the mindset that would let that one go. We really need officials who want to apply the rules.
