Tom Horton and Lachlan Shelley are leaving Leicester to go back to Australia. Hopefully provides enough salary cap space to keep Oghre permanently.

Tom Horton was always a short term deal, Shelley was an attempt to find another Potter/Porter shame it didn't work out for him. I suspect if Horton had been EQ then he would have been kept on as he was really good in the few PRC outings he had.
As you say, hopefully it means we can keep Oghre and with Shelley going maybe bring in Shillcock before the 6N.

Shillcock is out in Japan, think he’s signed a 1 season deal out there. And Oghre is due to head out to Bordeaux in the new year, then Bristol for next season. Maybe he can pull out of the French part of that to stay at Tigers, not sure.

Shillcock does indeed appear to be out in Japan. Hopefully it's only until the summer and be can entice him back from then on.
Lots of rumours surrounding Oghre at the minute. Not surprised he's in demand.

Elliot Stooke is another on his way to Montpellier, having signed until the end of the season as a medical joker.

Where is that reported? He's at Bristol at the moment (as a medical joker) and assumed it was till the end of the season...

Du Toit as a replacement for Will Stuart presumably.

Ooosh that'll be some tighthead options for Bath next season. Can't imagine it'll be cheap but no point having that backline if you haven't got a stable platform for them to play off.

I find it utterly wild that no-one's picked him up at a higher level. Only thing I can think of is that they're worried about his injury record.

I was really surprised by this. He's very much in the marler mould. Solid around the park and has made some good tightheads look poor.

very odd, not like he's even very old. Coming to his prime, you'd think.

Only assumption would be they're pushing for promotion?

He must want to remain in the UK as opposed to moving abroad otherwise he'd have a deal in France a couple of months back surely.
Whether he's got a deal for next season but wants some game time, is trying to show he's fit for a contract or thinks Ealing are going up and wants to get on board. I guess we'll see.

Bristol renewals starting to come out;
Joe Batley gets a 3 year deal, Kloska and Bates extend their deals for 2 years.
Hoping Kloska and Bates start to feature more in the rest of the season now.

Frustrating only seeing tiny glimpses of him in his time at Wasps due to injuries. He looked at home straight away in his first run out but had almost zero chance since. Good signing.
