Anyone know how Hardie and Graham got on at 6&7 for the Falcons against Bath? I know they won but the Ch5 highlights were crap so couldn't see how they went.

Thistle Scottish Rugby Podcast @thistlerugbypod
Good to see @hardhorse44 back to his best for @FalconsRugby

18 tackles
0 missed
4 turnovers won

Knicked from twitter, if he gets numbers like this regularly then he'll really be challenging for a spot in the 6N squad. Would have been interesting to see him up against Mish on Friday but I don't think he can play in Europe.

Racing 12 nil up against Leicester after 13. All looks quite simply but good crisp miss pass from Russell

With Brown out and Turner now down it's worth watching Kerr off the bench at Leicester tomorrow. So far he's looked like a solid but not exceptional player to me. A6 or 7 out of ten each match.

Russell tearing Leicester to bits. Though it's hard to say what balance of good/bad we're seeing from both teams.

Still kicking very well. I really think he needs to be kicking for Scotland. Some players are just better the more pressure you pile on them.

Fair play to WFD. I think he's found his level and a team & brand of rugby that suit him far better.

I still think there's merit in having a look at him in a RWC warm up.

Yeah, really glad it's worked out for him there. Don't personally see him as an international option but you never know with injuries etc.

I see him now as this generations Gordon Ross. Found a place at low level prem level and looking good in that team but probably no more than an emergency option for Scotland.

I saw that there is a Vellacott to Wasps rumour. Would be disappointed if the SRU/GT hasn't at least made a polite enquiry.

Things could be going very different for him right now if he'd picked Scotland.

John Hardie just signed a 2-year deal at Newcastle. Will hopefully have some clause in allowing him to bugger off if they’re relegated.

I hope so. They are looking like hot favourites to go down. However, he may feel like he owes them after they gave him a deal when it looked like no one else would.

Actually, on reflection, a season at a lower level may give his body a wee break after RWC, should he make it.

Russell had some good and some bad. Peach of a left handed pass for one of the tries in the second half.

Maitland injured for Saracens. Don’t know how serious.

Not the problem it would have been a season or 2 ago. I'd be starting Graham anyway leaves the other spot for Seymour of Kinghorn.

Think Maitland and Seymore are still my starters and then Graham, Kinghorn a distant 4th

Horses for courses for me. If we want to play a structured kicking game, poor conditions and lots more f high halls then it's Maitland and Seymour (or against aIreoand). However if there will be a chance to run a few back Kinghorn and Graham are in consideration.
