Russia is evil. I don't normally use that word because it is too absolute.

Its becoming startlingly clear that too many ordinary Russians are prepared to either support or accept what Putin is doing. Yes there are some brave souls who are protesting, but not enough. The years of propaganda have obviously worked well. Removing Putin won't fix this problem, someone as bad or worse will take over.

There are some people who wouldn’t care less until Russian tanks were at the channel tunnel. Then they would look about for friends and realise that the ere are none left. Sadly that’s human nature.

Because there is no historical parallel we can draw on for a clue.

And in many parts of the world they don’t even bother with the shrug. Russia has bought a lot of influence.

Well its possible that some Ukrainian nutter is trying to invade Russia with an oversized platoon of his militia mates. But this smells a bit false flag.

ICC wants to arrest Putin for the deportation of Ukrainian children. Quite symbolic.

Apparently, he is hiring body doubles because he is fearful of being kidnapped and ending up in front of a court. Real shame that his trip to Mariopol wasn't leaked before hand and the Ukrainians couldn't spin something up.
Sadly, I suspect it will only every be symbolic and may make Putin less inclined to agree to any compromise.
