SARU are skint, so they may not be able to afford him. Here's a link to the SA news reporting a possible approach this morning...

If, and it is a big if Rennie was to decide to take the SA job with suitable compo for Glasgow, it will come at a bad time with regards to contract negotiations.
I wish I could say I would be surprised if he ended up SA coach but I wouldn't be.

This is what I was really worried about after Robinson seemed to be getting a lot out of Edinburgh and got wrongly/prematurely promoted to Scotland coach. Glasgow getting screwed out of a good coach will not be good for anyone. It would seem just typical when we're on the edge of yet another new dawn for Scottish rugby.

I think he'd be mental if he goes there. SARU are proper skint, the players coming through aren't as good as the ones leaving and the fans will only be content once they start being competitive v NZ - not something I can see happening soon. He could walk away from Glasgow after doing well there and get a better job, maybe big money in France. If he gets fired from the SARU, it's back to super rugby at best I reckon.

Plus the ones he can pick from are affected by quotas.
