... Jack Roberts from Tigers

I've heard good things about this guy. Anyone seen him in action? I get the sense he's more of a bish-bosh sort of centre than a distributing one. Think we need the latter (ala Matavesi) to bring the best out of our backs (decent forwards would be useful too)

He's a good player. Very short for a centre, but buckets of pace and real guts too. Certainly a good squad option for the blues.

He's a Landovery College boy I think, played with George North when he was younger, I've only seen him once and he didn't have a great game but then he was playing behind a beaten pack, why are the Blues buying more centres when they aren't giving the one Welsh international centre any gametime at centre?

Cory Allen: Cardiff Blues centre's future with region in doubt -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/38996659
This is a disappointment..I had hoped that he would kick on now he was back from a period of injury.
With both Ospreys and Blues importing overseas centres it really does make it difficult to provide alternatives to Robert if only Scarlets and Dragons play Welsh centres as first choice.
Matavesi is seemingly contracted till Summer 2018 so I am not sure what the Ospreys see him ad an option ...as they have 4 good options in the centres

Bad news, Danny Wilson is obviously not a fan, maybe he's not the same after coming back from injury, I think I've only see him play once since then and that was on the wing.

afraid of contact, probably because he is made of glass.
played a bit early on but disappeared to play 7s

Thanks for the info... sad to see him fall from the position of looking like a dead cert for future caps. Maybe a change may reignite his future. But sadly it will probably be east of the border or down french wine country way.

Well it seems Corey Allen is off to the O's as Matevesi is leaving for Newcastle, this makes a bit more sense now.

Yep it does..so is it possible that the Ospreys get some money for Matevesi from Newcastle as his contract is till 2018 from what I read.
But great news for Cory Allen.. he will get a run if he proves he can demand his slot. Personally I beleive it is a great signing for the Ospreys and I hope that he recreates the form that got him his cap.

That could be a tidy move for him.
