In NZ we've got a pop-up channel on Sky showing the 2005 tour matches non-stop.
Awesome.
Remember Gavin Henson's spiked red-tipped hair do?

Remember when Thomas Waldron played against the Lions? And Piri Weepu was a nippy wee chap.
Murray Mexted just described Ma'a Nonu as "becoming a local star" in Wellington.

Of the Wellington squad:
Only 1 did not later play overseas professionally
2 were later capped for England
A number are still playing including Jimmy Gopperth
None are still playing for Wellington
2 are still playing in NZ (I think)

Maori game now. Not sure who had the sharper hair - Carlos Spencer or Steve Walsh.

Nice. I think this Lions squad will be far stronger. Might not make much of a difference though.

Is that the game Flutey (iirc) gives Ben Kaye a black eye in?

The only man to play for and against the Lions I recall.

Nah there has been a few; Gerald Davies, JPR Williams and Gareth Edwards played for the Barbarians. Hook has done it too.
Daly and Payne could do it this tour.

Not sure. I went to bed at halftime. Some of us have work this morning you know.
Mind you, some of us are also probably going to bunk off a bit early and go to our beach house for the weekend.

Two of the starting AB back row in the 3rd test are sadly no longer with us. Sad to think of it really.
