One of the best ever 2nd Rows,,,, In terms of importance to the Irish team,,,,the best! I was fortunate to play with the man I consider the best,,,,,Brian Thomas,,,, POC, was a similar type of player!

cursed with ill luck for picking up injuries at the wrong time, in his pomp he was a lovely player to watch

A real shame on Fitzy, the talent was there and it just never amount to what might have been hoped of him, injuries perhaps to the fore of his problems.

POC of course remains a giant of the game, what a career, what a player.

28! I can't believe he's still so young. Such a shame he has to retire. A good career prevented from being a great one by injury.

first game I saw Fitzy play in..... he had just turned 19.... but there was already a buzz about him. and he was class. strong aussie team!
