Forgotten all about this until this week, plenty of documentaries on the box, can't believe a jury could find those old bill not guilty of battering Rodney King with the video evidence they had. Apparently that type of beating and treatment was common place then, the LAPD had armored cars with battering rams to gain entry to peoples houses, terrible times, black Americans and Hispanics were treated like shit, no wonder they revolted.
The thing I remember the most was the Korean shop owners protecting their property against armed gangs with hand guns, shotguns and rifles, I remember one guy on the roof of his shop with an Uzi, amazing scenes, the American 2nd amendment coming in very useful there.

You don't mess with the Koreans, the armed gang bangers and hoodlums met their match then. The Koreans were targeted because a female Korean shop owner shot a 15 year old black girl in the back of the head, she thought the girl was trying to steal a carton of orange juice, the shop owner wasn't even given jail time, this verdict came out a week before the Rodney King not guilty verdicts, producing a pefect storm for anger and revenge.

The solution to Americas firearms crisis being of course more guns of types which are purely designed to kill or wound people quickly and easily.

Need to get more guns into the hands of decent folk as they will sort the baddies out.
The NRA and some other fuckwits actually subscribe to that logic.

You politically correct libertarian clowns would rather see your shops and homes burned down than fire on the bad guys wouldn't you!
During the London riots the mobs descended upon the Turkish area in Stoke Newington, the Turks, aware they were coming, had armed themselves with baseball bats, clubs, sticks anything they could find, and held a position on Kingsland high road to prevent the looters from ransacking their shops, they stopped the mob in its tracks, they even went on the offensive and chased after the would be looters. My point being, what if the mob had firearms, the Turks would have been helpless, unless of course they came up with their own guns, which I think they would actually.
Without guns you are helpless to the mob, and to the authorities should a sinister power take control.
Luke 22:36 " And if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!" wise words indeed.

You do realise the London riots started because a man was shot because he had, or was assumed to have, a gun.......
Also, I don't have a gun and my house has never been burned down. I guess I must just be one of the lucky few, along with everyone I know and everyone in the town in which I live and the other 99% of the population.
Finally, I don't own a cloak. What should I do?

Have you thought about bear insurance?
Just when you least suspect it, a hoard of grizzly bears could come a' knocking.
Why take the chance?

So, talking about the LA riots exactly 25 years after it happened is a troll is it?? I know your pc indignant radar is highly sensitive, but even so I fail to see how you have deduced a troll here.
Never mind go back to your Trump thread, maybe he has just made another tweet that someone somewhere has gotten all offended about on someone else's behalf.

Exactly. And if both sides in the riots had guns, imagine what the outcome would have been then?

Brief synopsis:
People without guns riot.
People without guns stop them rioting.
Conclusion; everyone should have guns.
