Top 7 in Pre 12 regardless of country and challenge cup winners or runners up if winners qualify through their league.

Positive changes. Makes the ECC a better competition IMO and doesn't reward Italy for mediocrity.

Bad decision. Is it a European cup or not? The current rules strike the right balance.

Totally disagree. It is the premier team (club/province) competition in Europe. It should have the best teams. Italy have had every chance to become competitive in the Pro 12 so it is fair that safety blanket of only needing to be the best Italian team (or Scottish, Welsh and Irish for other teams) is removed.

They've been rewarded for years and years. Hopefully stuff like this will incentivise them to shake things up.

What happens if both challenge cup finalists have qualified for the champions cup already?

No problem with the change, you're good enough or you're not, and maybe it'll add some bite to those mid table encounters in the Pro 12 towards the last quarter of the season when they've effectively been playing for nothing but pride before
