6 Team semi pro league

This ties in with a conversation on the Nice fred but the SRU are clearly trying to fill the gap between prem 1 standard and Pro12 standard.

This was not on the agenda I saw for the AGM but I can't see prem 1 clubs being happy at all. I think it's a great idea.

Probably the traditional sounding ones; North, Midlands, borders, Edinburgh, Glasgow +1

Looks like this is edging closer to happening. I particularly like the move to link them up with universities. There's a lot wrong with the US sporting model but it certainly draws a crowd.
