Players you think will step up at Regional level this season

Before the season starts..it would be interesting to see who you think of the young guns will take the best of the opportunity provided someone for us all to have a look at ..I have not included any full Welsh capped or sqaud players .

Here are a few that I think from an Ospreys standpoint

Scott Otten. ..he will join quite a band of good regional hookers that are challenging Ken Owens mantle. ..it will be interesting to see if he steps up ..he seems to have made some positive impressions already.

Joe Thomas ...he will have a problem getting starts if the present centres /wingers keep fit ...but he is solid and strong and the litgle I have seen has a pass..looked good on his opportunities to date .

Owen Watkin... not a new boy but it is his second start so to speak...he is impressive and will be good if he stays stay injury free to get some form and see if he is the real deal.

The disconcerting thing about these guys is the fail also marked them up...so that's them doomed :D :D

Any thoughts from the other regions ?

From a Scarlets perspective I'm looking forward to seeing Josh McLeod, Morgan Williams and Ryan Conbeer, I'm also hoping Boyde kicks on after having a good season.

I'm also pretty sure we will see a different style to Leigh Halfpenny's play.

Here's hoping Keelan Giles continues, or even improves on last season's form, so the Welsh management finally notice.

I have a feeling he's becoming the Christian Wade of Welsh rugby.

I fear that your evaluation is absolutely bang on

Dragons - Leon Brown, Harrison Keddie and a continuation of Ollie Griffiths progress

Blues - Dillon Lewis, Seb Davies and the FB Rhun Williams?

Os - Sam Parry, One of the 2 locks (Thornton or Beard) and as you say Watkins

Scarlets - More of the same from Elias, Boyd et al.

For us, we really need youth to step up... high hopes of

Seb Davies
Aled Summerhill
Rhun Williams
Dillon Lewis
Asserati and Domachowski too

And I'll be very interested to see whether Jarrod Evans can kick on and how Jack Roberts the new signing from Leicester looks in the centre.

Do you think Jack Roberts could offer the Cardiff back line a bit more focus as the two centres never seem to give the forwards a real target ...although they are very very skillful ?

I do wonder if Willis and Rey are sometimes too similar... we could do with someone Jamie Roberts-ish at times. Hopefully Jack Roberts can be that player.

They are without doubt very talented players but I agree ..they are somewhat similar although as a defender they would be a nightmare to defend and handle if there was good attacking ball and some other threat offered to keep the defence honest .
