Well apparently the WRU have a shortlist of 3 coaches to replaced Gatland, I'm hoping that Pivac and Dai Young are on the list and not Howley but I suspect he will be one of the three, hopefully it's not McBryde, Howley and Jenkins

Top of the Fail's shortlist was Howley. It will be seriously annoying to find that their 1 story in 100 where they find some accuracy is this one!

Can we hope that even one of them is non-welsh?

One article on the fail said Dai Young, Howley and Dave Rennie are the 3 that have been favoured by the WRU

They seriously must look at Pivac. But why are they saying such a specific thing anyway, why tell anyone they have a shortlist of 3?

I imagine there is very little chance the next coach won't be Howley.

Fuck off, you can't have Rennie. Have Howley. I'm sure he'll be great.

"Having spoken to Rob on a number of occasions, my understanding in always talking to Rob in 2019 he was planning to finish with the national team, planning to leave Wales and look for opportunities elsewhere," Gatland told BBC Sport Wales.

He would have to be mad not to realise th depth of feeling in Wales at the moment. Unless we win th next two grand slams and the World Cup then I can’t see that changing. Howley might be a very good coach in due course, but for now it’s better for him to go somewhere else and develop out of the spotlight.

So Chris Boyd is going to the Saints on a 3 year contract from the summer .. so that removes one of the candidates for the Welsh job.
So Pivac and Rennie are still possibilities but I would hope that the WRU have other options as well.

If possible I’d prefer Provac to stay at the Scarlets. I’d prefer a top quality coach for Wales plus one creating success at one of the regions.
