If Stephenson is fit, I hope he can get some 1st team games soon, ditto Craig.

The respective Hills have fallen off the radar, like Devoto, all have been in eddie squads

Wait, Earle can play full-back?! That's interesting. Last week was the first time I saw what others seem to see in him, so I'm fascinated to see if it's repeated.

Good to see Crossdale back. That Sarries side is basically full of names I'm interested to see more of - Crossdale, Gallagher, Malins, Nay, Earl, Segun. Their academy is frankly ridiculous.

I'm disappointed Saints aren't starting Grayson at 10. Looking forward to seeing how Furbank goes at fullback, and hoping that Stephenson and Estelles have strong performances that can put them forward for the premiership.

I always like what I see of Craig, but suspect he's caught between lock and back row, excelling at neither. Stephenson I had great hopes for.

Craig is definitely a lock, just pretty lightweight. He is a good player, plagued by injury much like Stephenson recently.

I can't say I'm familiar with either, but (even as a Quins fan) I'm looking forward to seeing the Sarries crop.

John Okafor doesn't seem to be massively on the radar, but is highly rated at Quins. Pleased to Chisholm and Sloan starting and good to see Ibitoye on the bench too.

Good to see Simon Uzokwe make his Falcons debut in the Ricoh try-fest.The student international has been a try machine at Darlington and bagged a brace today.
Flanker at the moment, he's come through from playing centre and hooker as a junior. An exciting prospect.

Leicester game was mildly entertaining to watch, although I suspect a lot of that lot may deservedly be plying their trade at Nottingham and London Irish in a few years time, rather than testing England or even Leicester squads. Will Evans was good without being outstanding and definitely needs more first team action. Charlie Thacker was a well deserved MotM but I still can't shake the feeling that he's got nothing outstanding about him. Maybe he'll grow up to be another Matt Smith, which nothing to be sniffed at. Fred Tuilagi is big, but he slows before contact so he doesn't make the best of it and he looked terrified when he found himself in about 20m of space with a 2-on-2. Simmons was okay, but his service was shown up by the speed of White when he came off the bench. I thought Pakalani was a teenager when watching him, but a google tells me he's 28! He's got a lot of rough edges for a 28 year old.

Basically, it was nice to win, but Dusty Hare's return cannot start bearing fruit quickly enough.

The AWC is a souped up A league. And thats a good thing in my book. It gives fringe players, along with promising youngsters, a chance to play on a bigger stage. Its invaluable experience.
Yes, some of the players out this weekend wont make it to the top, or even to play regularly for their clubs. That i dont mind, though. Not every young player will make it, but if a few do then thats something to be encouraged. The fact that a number of our likely u20 side had outings this weekend is i reckon a really good thing.
