Toulon arent the force they once were but this is a very tricky assignment for Bath. Shame there's no Louw or Underhill.

We'll be playing that territory based game, and whilst Toulon are fallen giants, they've got more than enough to see us off at their place. Targeting a LBP, or to use our fitness and bench, just trying to keep in touch at half time.
IIRC Underhill's concussion was 3rd in a 12 month time frame, so should be a full month out. Pity all of our open sides are injured at the moment.

If Toulon play the same up-the-jumper, run through ‘em rugby that they did against Scarlets Bath should do ok. Bath have got a very hard working, niggly, aggravating pack. But as a team they’ve been very limited in attack, and now without Roko...

If there's an lbp to be had, I believe it'll be Toulon's!

Aston at fullback may prove optimistic for defence...

Any betting that that's not the last we see of Toulon #3?
My money's on the replacement THP going off "hurt" bang on 60 minutes

Good flat close ball. That's how you run at a defence.

Should really have been a penalty on the knock-on; so fair's fair

Never good when the player's scream comes across on the ref's mic

Toulon are a strange outfit. Most of their game is 3-4 big dudes running into people.

Joseph would be so much better if he just learned to pass, and broke his try scoring drought.
That's hillarious
A rival for Carling getting dumped back over the try line instead of scroing?

Well, that's that, and Priestland will be taking the lio's share of the blame; but the important question is...
Who won the battle of English Wingers playing out of position at the back?

Tough on Bath. Think the ref made a mistake by awarding that crucial 5M scrum to Toulon around 70-71 min. Ashton was tackled short of the line, not held up over it, and did not release the ball (may even have tried a second movement.)

Massive effort from Bath. Really stepped up from last week and put in a big performance, led brilliantly by Garvey. A losing BP isnt the worst result for them as they now have 2 games at home and the weakest team in the group away..

A point a decent result for Bath, should be targeting 4/5 next week. How Basteraud got MotM when he was utterly outclassed by Joseph...French broadcaster I suppose. Joseph looked world class, Watson very good. If Lahiff were to stay injury free I think he’s maybe capable of stepping up another level, good scrummager and very mobile.

Small margins, but Priestland takes a bit of shame away plus the Fotuali’i interception was a key moment. Great defence from Bath, and for those who don't think JJ can pass.....
