Peter Stringer turns 40 today. Fitter than ever. Still one of the best passers in the game. 98 Ireland caps and should have had many more. What a bloke.

Strings was interviewed by Ryle Nugent for RTÉ yesterday and did not appear too upset by his decision to retire from professional r*gby.

A career as a Strength, conditioning and fitness coach beckons if he wants it. Don't know if anyone follows him on social media but he is in ridiculous shape for his age.

Jan Molby was good.
Strings was a quality 9, opportunistic chancer.
No doubt about it.
