Dragons, new season....

... same shyte.

Watching the game last night on a ropey 4G connection wasn’t a great experience, but I won’t blame O2 too much as the biggest problem was the utter tripe served up as a rugby match.

Fair play to Treviso , they were a competent side who deserved to win. But after the investment in players over the summer, I was hoping for a bit more from the dragons.

Too many handling errors, too many line out errors, too many defensive lapses. We looked like a pub team.

If this doesn’t improve, and quickly, then a new coach is absolutely required. I’m not buying the argument over a lack of depth. Leinster won with a largely second team away from home whereas we never really looked like a team and relied too much on individuals.

Yeah, no excuses now, they have some decent players. Jackman needs to get some results fast (although he did accept the blame for this shoddy effort).

Didn't I read somewhere that the Dragons didn't have a nutritionist until last season? Still some issues in the front row, the pack looked off the pace, Ollie Griffiths and Wainwright excepted.

I guess it may take three or five games for the new signings to meld in and start making a difference.

I don’t know if Jackman will be allowed that amount of rope before he disappears leaving Dragons’s fans with yet another false dawn.

I think Jackman has used up much of his goodwill. If we lose this forthcoming weekend then the knives will really be out.

I don't have a whole lot of confidence in Jackman, but he ought to get a couple of months' grace before getting ditched. (Which doesn't prevent management from getting a shortlist together in secret...)
