Saw Mark Cavendish last night on BBC two, he didn't look like he would die soon.

Anyone watch Stade Bianche today? Great race but not that surprised that Quickstep failed to make numbers count again. Spartacus looking in monstrous form and Stybar is still a nearly man but I think he'll get a big win this spring.

I watched the Strade Bianche today and Spartacus winning was no surprise at all. I found Peter Sagan rather disappointing even more than the 2 of Quickstep.

Anyone watching Paris-Nice today? Great stage in action.

Contador and Porte off the front with Wellens. They've got 22 seconds on Thomas who was 12 and 18 seconds ahead at the start of the day. Thomas has Henao to help but its a mix of descent and flat to come.

I watched yesterday's high lights before todays live race on Eurosport 2 brilliant days of racing G was superb really thought that he had lost it on the last climb took a huge amount of guts to come back and fair play to Contador he tried his best but he must hate the sight of Sky riders

I thought that Thomas had cracked when he went backwards. On a big mountain that would have been game over for him and is probably why he's not a serious candidate for a GT but excellent performance to get back and save it. Contador showed why he's a fan favourite but I was really impressed with Henao who's been looking great.

It's also been great fun to watch the cyclingnews forum melt down.

So Milan San Remo this weekend and I have no idea how it's going to go.

In previous years someone has pulled it back for the sprint and that's obviously what Katusha (Kristoff), Cofidis (Bouhanni) and probably Dimension Data (EBH) will be trying. However this year the form guys are those that want to make the race hard. What are the odds on some combination of GVA, Cancellara, Sagan, Stybar, Matthews and Thomas getting away on the hill near the end? They've all looked great recently and are Katusha strong enough to pull them back? Who else would help to sprint against Kristoff?

So predictions guys? The race has produced so many unexpected winners in recent years too, I'm going for Bouhanni with Bonifazio as an outside bet.

Smart to try kill the story before it becomes a massive distraction in the run up to Rio. Does nothing to address the culture though it's never just about one person and there's been no due process.

Aye. Completely agree but seems strange he went to great lengths to deny it then resign, then continue to deny it. Perhaps there's some footage of him saying the offensive words?

Excellent piece of writing. There does seem to be a nasty streak in British cycling. Seems the success of the team had gone to the heads of people they are after all only administrators.

I don't know, this seems pretty plausible to me. Lots of cyclists have asthma and carry inhalers with them.

I do like the Yates twins as riders though which may be colouring my view.

Aye, it does seem to be one of those instances which could be entirely innocent. We'll just have to see how it pans out.

What a week for British Cycling though.

There's also been kit-gate and Kennaugh-gate which I'm not sure have been mentioned here.

I think I'm so cynical now with cyclists that even the plausible excuses have me sighing and rolling my eyes. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, why didn't he make sure that he/his Dr had applied for the TUE? I mean, ffs, it's not rocket science, surely?
