Halfpenny had an off day.

Still it could be worse - it is for Freddie Burns.

Aye, that nearly try from Burns will be on a question of sport at some point as a what happened next?

They reaped the rewards of having 4 players who have come through the ranks at 7, that and Dillon Lewis acting like a 7 at the breakdown won them that area and hence the game.

Not sure why they didn't take Gill off after he took that knock as he failed to scrummage well after that, to the Blues detriment.

It looks as though they picked up a fair few injuries, hopefully they'll be ok for next week.

Will there be any Llanelli (sorry, but your team’s always Llanelli for me!) supporters at Welford Rd tomorrow ?

Provided their passports are in date of course.

Now I know why there was so much horseshit on Welford Road last night ! Good to see your supporters but shame they weren’t singing in tune!

It's not quite working for the Scarlets this season.

Amongst other things they're really missing Tadhg Beirne, and Parkes is certainly not playing at the level of last season.

Just hoping their problem isn't that Pivac's tactics have all been worked out... just before he moves to the big job.

Quite a few players coming back from injury, or still out injured. But I’m a bit concerned that something stil isn’t quite right, particularly following that game in Glasgow where individual performances were dire.

If you look at the what the Scarlets have built their success on in the past two seasons it's been winning turnover ball and attacking off that, with the absence of Barclay and Beirne, that, coupled with the loss of James Davies, our one decent ball carrier (now Beirne has left) in Jake Ball to injury for large swathes I'm not remotely surprised.

The main issue is we haven't replaced like for like, Blade Thomson is a decent replacement for Beirne, Cassiem is proving to be no John Barclay however.

So we have gone from is having Beirne, Barclay and Davies as all threats at the breakdown to now just Davies realistically and perhaps Will Boyde. McLeod would be featuring more also if fit, I think we'll be ok in the league when we get some of our injured players back, probably make the play-offs, but I don't think we have any realistic chance of winning it.

It’s a bit of a perfect storm for you to be fair. Blade Thompson looks like he will be good for you but Cassiem hasn’t impressed in the games I’ve seen, albeit injuries won’t help.
