Any of you cats got this? I played the beta but it had the reek of Destiny meets Diablo 3 about it. I'm really not big on grinding RPG's. Just don't really have the time or patience for it. The RNGesus in Destiny just about broke me.
Cracking looking game mind you, and I fucking love coop games. Anyone recommend it, despite my above reservations? Anyone in here actually play console games?
Bear in mind I'm on the somewhat inferior X Bone.

Ha! Yeah, just saw your Fred of the same name on PR. Shame. I'm like the poster boy for what technology not to buy. I had a minidisc when it came out. I'm the type of fud that would have had a Betamax player, and a fucking laser disk.
What's it like then? Enjoying it? Grinding mcgrind-grind? As I said, not huge on killing the same boars for days on end just to level up a pair of elbo pads.
It'll take something monumental to pry me off of Battlefeild 4 to be honest. Which, if you haven't got... Give yourself an uppercut, then go get it. Then give yourself another uppercut.

I had it on ps3 but don't have it for the ps4.
Only a few hours in but it's decent so far although cunts take half a mag to put down. You're always looting bodies or buying more kit. The levelling up really only matters on the level of the kit.

Aye, that was part of my concern. Bullet sponging enemy's based on level. It works with other shooters because you are shooting at aliens n' shit. But having a cat in a hoody walk off 300 rounds to the head kind of fucks with the immersion of it.

You need to invest in a ps4 before ghost recon wildlands comes out

Oddly enough, I was boring the tits off someone about that yesterday. My worry for that is it's a Ubisoft game, I loved the older ones, but that studio are in ropey form. They are running assassins creed into the floor, and I was pretty disappointed with the new rainbow 6. Did you play that?
If they just reskin the old game I'll be happy.
Read a rumour the other week that battlefield 5 is going to be set in WW I... Trench warfare... 'the fuck Dice? That'll be riveting... Sit in a hole getting shelled for 45 minutes then die of dysentery.
I really want it to be WW II. I want to fly a spitfire... Into a sniper.

If that was the siege one I thought about it. Might get it if I find some online fwiends to play with.
I don't know enough about the companies and makers to make comment. All I know is this....
Looks fucking awesome!!
Battlefield 5 could be disappointing if it's WW1
EDIT: How do you embed videos these days?

Ah yeah, I'd not seen that trailer. That looks the fucking tits.
Aye, rainbow 6 siege is the one I was talking about. I personally wouldn't recommend it. its pretty thin on content for the price, and it's basically a 5 man, armed version of hide and seek. Sure, It's a laugh with mates, but I dunno, it's a bit too competitive for me. I'm getting too old for twitch based shooters, my reaction speed is dropping by the second. It's why I don't play cod anymore, just got tired of being rinsed off spawn by a AC130 manned by some racist 12 year old who was on a 30 kill streak.

yeah me and a mate has a wee blast on black ops 3 earlier. Our arse holes are still raw.
I'll maybe give siege a miss then. I'm really just marking time until wildlands.

How is black ops 3? I never arsed buying it. Think the last call of duty I had was ghosts... That was terrible. I have fond memories of black ops 2 though. Before Cod turned into skeet shooting with fuds running up walls and jumping all over the shop.
Here... If you can find BF4 on the cheap for your ps4 and you liked it on the 3 it's worth it. The new gen consoles have 64 player servers. 32 vs 32 conquest is mental fun.

You'll not like black ops 3 it's more of the same. I picked it up for 20 quid and it was only to tie me over until this came out.
32 on 32 sounds superb.

Tempted by The Division, but have only just got round to buying Bloodborne. Brilliant game, but unless I kill Father Gascoigne soon its going back to the shop.

Ha, ah yeah, I watched a mate try and kill that fud for about 2 and a half hours, looked like he was about to return it via the window. Bloodborne, like Dark souls is a relentless test of your patience. I like how they only put one shield in bloodborne, and it's shite, as a nod to the shield spam in Dark souls.
I read an article years ago from one of the devs on dark souls before the second one came out, he said: "Sometimes you will die because you got the pattern wrong, sometimes you'll die because you made a poor tactical choice, and sometimes you'll die because... fuck you."

The always online aspect of it is something I find off-putting, and I hate playing co-op anyway. From what I've heard, as soon as it went live in the US, the servers all basically exploded and it's been largely unplayable.

Co-op is great if you're sat next to a mate in the same house. Otherwise its a phone call with explosions.

Here, You've had it for a while now, any good? Grindy McGrind?
Aye, I was reading about the cross platform stuff. That's been knocking about for a while. They did actually have one game on the 360 and PS3 that was cross platform. Can't remember what it was. Seems like a good idea to me, although Sony, like Microsoft last gen have no real incentive to do it. I do wonder if the limitations on the current Xbone build would affect the balance in competitive shooters. My XBone drops frames all over the shop, and the PS4 can run nearly everything smoother and at a higher frame rate.
Still... Your controller is shit.

Really enjoying mate. It could be described as a bit samey but I like it nonetheless. As for the spongey round absorbing enemies people were on about, it works well within context. The "big boss" type takes extra hits compare to equivalent ranked enemies, those lower you can smash easily.
Edit: I get the Grindy McGrind bit now.

Well aye, sort of... Except, not from 2002, on this gen of consoles, and build on the current frostbite engine. I was never that fond of 1942 to be honest. Although, if I rember rightly its spotting system was a lot better than the current one.
I like those honest trailers, really like the movie ones too. The guy that voices them does the voice of the bald cat in Xcom.

Grand. Yeah, standard RPG scaling with level n' that. This game seems to be polarising my mates. They either shit in about it like it gave everyone sliced bread, or... Shit on about it like it gave everyone bad AIDS.
Think you are getting a big patch for it this week.

Yeah. I've no idea what it will add though. Not really up on that stuff.
One thing I seem to find is that I often end up doing side missions that are below my level by the time I get round to taking them on. No idea if I'm going about things wrong or its standard for everyone.

That's fairly standard for games like that, if there is a level cap, and you are doing side quests, in general you will always end up over levelled. They will bring out expansions that will increase the difficulty at some point.
