I wouldn't rate Tips that highly, I'd make Cory an 8 and Parkes a 6

May was better than a 5. Youngs was no better than 4, ditto Faz.

Thought Parkes was better today than he has been for a while, but I am wondering what he is bringing us compared to Jamie Roberts.

Tips was quietly effective today, not sure he deserves an 8 though.

Cory Hill has a big game, as did Navidi.

Thought tips was the least effective of the backrow. Davies was no more than a 6, Parkes very pedestrian, as was north.

According to ESPN Parkes had a great game, made 70 metres, 10 tackles.

Navidi tackled the most - 12, then Parkes and Tipuric with 10.

Of course this pales next to England who were exhausting themselves with the following tackle counts: Curry (24), George (22), Wilson (20), Kruis (19), Moon (19) and Sinkler (18).

Also I think AWJ deserves an 8, possibly a 9. Didn’t stop, he’s a colossus

Read the Daily Mail rankings last night and player for player England scored more highly. They only gave MoM Williams a 7.5!!

I just wonder what game the reporter went to.

There’s a bit of a narrative forming amongst some journalists that the ref was overly harsh on England. Still, they can keep their delusions, we win and by a decent margin.

That's what Hill's try was all about (built on the accuracy of all those phases, of course). We switched from one corner to the other and an exhausted England couldn't get sufficient numbers across the pitch in time.

Was I the only one who was a bit nervous when Biggar threw that pass?

There was also a scary moment at about phase 32 - the long pass to Liam, it looked like Nowell could just pluck it out of the air for an unstoppable intercept try. Hopefully that was just the camera angle!

There was little good fortune - but mostly a hell of a lot of skill - making that try work. I also loved North's run to the corner, building up speed, will he pass, will he go himself? He didn't score but it dragged the action far away from most of the English players.

Nine penalties conceded, away from home, is actually not that bad. Only three conceded, anywhere, is extraordinary; most teams would cough up three pens if their own coach was the ref... So, I would have a little sympathy with English claims of leniency to Wales IF two of THOSE weren't dodgy as hell!

Even some of the English pundits were laughing at the pen against Tipuric for what was probably the tackle of the match on Billy. Evans got pinged at the scrum when Sinckler was halfway to Australia. Then Sinckler puts a shoulder into Anscombe and chokes AWJ within seconds of each other, while Tuilagi grabs Sanjay by the throat, but the ref goes nowhere near his pocket. Maybe we got some breaks from the ref but if so, it most definitely cut both ways.

Without the Tipuric fiasco (why didn’t Peyper ask a linesman to ask the TMO about the tackle) and Sinckler hitting the deck with Evans still on his feet with his left arm in the air to show the ref it wasn’t him dropping the scrum, we would have given away just one penalty in the whole game.

What a testament to the Welsh mindset and composure and a credit to the coaches.

It's a shame the bench weren't rated, Lewis and Smith were brilliant when they came on adding some tight yards and quick recycling to start dominating the gainline.

I’ve been impressed with both. I was never sure about Smith but he is playing well.
