We all know what it means to “respect” your opposition.
This thread is to track who thinks which teams will treat others as mere bumps in the road.
Spark Sport, covering the AB squad announcement has started strongly, offering “greatest respect” to Italy, Canada and Namibia as poolmates with NZ and SA.

Just PR talk, this "respect". Talk about them with respect, but treat them with as little "respect" as you can get away with, I say. The squads need to be managed and players need rest time.

Not quite the RWC, but Read has respected Tonga ahead of their pre-tournament match.
...they are a dangerous team, and they're a side that has really world class players across the park, in certain positions. So we treat them with respect.
