And they're off! - all in it to win it, innit..
Jap., as hosts, get a pass to the table.

As the intro. explains, Jap get a pass to this table as honourable hosts, as everyone knows they are not RC inclusives.
Although leading points scorers in the competition at the moment, securing the 'w' tag will be most unlikely.
Apologies for any offence caused placing them in the same column.

After R1 of Pool games:
Only Sco, Arg & SA fail to notch up win-points.
SA looked good and should easily qualify, Arg are in their customary dog-fight and may struggle now.
Sco are looking down the barrell. The 'Toonie flip' may have several meanings by now.. :|

After R2, only 2 teams with max. points (Ita, Eng).1 of these will probably fall now, the other may still slip up.
Everyone in the table has at least 1 win under their belt, the hosts have proved worthy additions and could progress further.
Sco are going down fighting but their future probably out of their hands now.

Arg first to leave the race.
Sco need a BP win v. Russia on Wed to keep a realistic chance.
NewZ should finish Ita involvement on Sat.

It looks like the extra time off has done wonders for today's winners :)

So by the end of tomorrow it'll be 2-2, regardless of the exact results. The Force will be perfectly balanced following the dark side's resurgence from 2015...

Eng reach final after rare win on merit v. AB's,
who have had a great run. (all come to an end sometime.)
If Wal beat SA it will be the first ever all-NH final. ;)

Arwell, unlucky Wales but SA slightly stronger on the day.
Norf v Sarf it is then, a repeat of the 07 final.
Hopefully rugby will be the big winner on the day.

There are plenty of possibilities for a re-run perhaps..
May's left toe, Spencer as make-shift flanker, Ref./TMO fest ?..

Most unlikely, but it was back then too !..even though Eng sort of ended up there through the back door..
Never known such a smooth route like EJ has pulled off-
he could make the transition from 'fwkn genius' to 'absoloute fwkn genius' if he avoids such foibles of fate next week and bags Bill for Blighty.(sure he will ;) )

SA dominate set-piece and break-down against a nervy Eng team.Another SH triumph, well deserved.
