I hope everyone has now caught their breath after Sunday’s massive tussle.

It certainly puts us in the driving seat for our group with probably the two easier games still to come.

We will really need to put Fiji away quickly and aim for the BP to put the group beyond doubt.

Some members of the press would be delighted if Fiji could spring a surprise (a la 2007) but not wishing to sound arrogant, I can’t believe that this will happen. They will certainly put up a brave fight in the first half but if we score tries and as they tire the floodgates could open.

Wales are a really well organised team and since the first two games, I just don’t see this as a banana skin.

Uruguay should be the easiest game of the group and the opportunity to involve 31 who haven’t played yet.

Yep, Id go as was less injuries (so Patchell and Watkins to start)

Id get the bench on early if we get well clear

Id like to see Amos on the bench though.

Theres plenty of opportunity to make changes against Uruguay.

Fiji play Georgia this week so they have a bit of a short turn around and I don’t believe they can qualify even with two BP wins. It will be interesting to see how motivated they are now.

That said, a strong team to start, aside from any injury concerns, and use the bench early.

Having seen Fiji recover their joie de vivre against Georgia this morning, I now think this next match is going to be a lot harder.

Fiji will be confident and will test our defence to the extreme. While we will have an edge in the set pieces, their ability in broken play has to be countered early to put them on the back foot.

Their shorter turnaround could see them tire after the break so it will be important to keep the pressure on for the whole 80 minutes.

It was a tidy win for them today. I don't think Gatland will take them lightly but its a timely reminder anyway.

You’re right. Gatland will need to pick a strong side.

While there’s only a four day turnaround to the Uruguay game afterwards that will give time for first choice picks to rest fully before the quarters a week later.
