Quite illustrative of how far and fast the Tigers have fallen.

Just noticed the Exeter : Leicester comparison.
Same number of wins, fewer draws, 14 more points

Only 15 teams have played in the Premiership over a decade. 9 out of 15 have been in place throughout that time.

Next season Newcastle will almost certainly come back up, perpetuating the 13 team top tier that we've had since LW were relegated 3 years ago.

People often cite Exeter as the perfect example of why promotion and relegation is a good thing, but can anyone honestly see another side doing what they have done?

For example, Bristol aren't doing too badly since gaining promotion.
The stars can align for anyone.
Besides, the whole "I'm alright now, and therefore forever shall/should be" is pretty despicable, and the antithesis of sport

Speaking of which the 6N will kick off in a few weeks, it doesn't get much more I'm alright than that.

I suspect at some point there will be some ring fencing in some fashion within the English leagues, which I'll resent, but that resentment will count for little. It's a shame Exeter having climbed themselves having made it into the castle are so happy to say the drawbridge should be raised

For a team that has won the league 3 times, it sort of shows Wasps for their mid table mediocrity that has only been saved by being able to string a run of wins together at the right times
