So good to see a pair of Quins locks. Such a position of lack for us for soooo long.

I'm a big fan of Barton.
IMO is the best 10 of that prem age group.

Doesn’t mean they’ll make the grade. See Twomey, Mathews and Merrick. Given you’ve also missed out on/kicked out Launchbury and Kruis, lock isn’t really Quins finest area for talent spotting and development!

I’d agree. Barton is a classy player, and for me the most rounded of the fly halves.

Ireland playing very well. Well worthy of their lead and this is in danger of getting away from England before half time.

Ireland are dealing with scrappy stuff so well, scoring tries from our mistakes. They are far and away the better side.

Disappointing night. Some of our play was laboured, lacking in energy and technique. Ireland gave an object demonstration in taking the ball at pace and generating quick ball at the breakdown. They were excellent and looked really well prepared.
We had a few bright moments and I dont think our side is without promise. Think Dan looks a good player, Capstick is one to watch and I liked what I saw of Barton and Watson.
